Question Mirror Covers

Hi I'm interested in buying mirror covers for my V6 '07 ... and I'm wondering if these will fit:

http://www.midwestautogear.com/index...d=46&Itemid=94

The title bar says it's for the GT - but aren't the GT and V6 mirrors/assembly the same?

I have them and was very surprised by the qualtiy and the fast shipping. Ordered them Friday got them on Monday.

One helpful hint though is to save a little piece of the double sided tape for the outer most tip of the cover (basically the part of the mirror that runs parrellel to the door) I suck at explaining I know but once you look at it it will make sense. At any rate I did this to ensure a good tight fit and have not had one problem.

Great looking easy to install and fairly cheap. MIDWEST is becoming a parts giant.

Good tip! I did the same thing and they fit on like a glove... These covers adds just a little color to the mirrors, which they desperately need!

Fit on my driver's side insert was not perfect ... there's a ~3mm gap at the outer edge at the furthest side ...

Not yet, unfortunately ... the weather here in the midwest hasn't been cooperating with me ... and the photographer in me won't stand for crappy pictures Still got a night-time photoshoot up somewhere in the Alloy Grey forum though .. I think ..

Did you get your new covers? Did they fit better? I put mine on during the summer so the heat really helped them stay on. I also figured out the extra piece of double-stick thing on the outside edge back then. They've survived the winter here nicely and look awesome. I've only seen one other Stang with them here in the western 'burbs and, man, they make a huge difference. Hope they're working out for you if you did get them replaced already.

Yep, midwestautogear sent me a new set, but I only had to replace the driver's side. Apparently they use two different molds, and my original driver's side was from mold D2; the second set included D1 (the other mold), and it fit perfectly.

On a related note, I did attach them in below-freezing temperatures using the 3M double sided tape they provided ... I hope they will stay on for the long run!!!! (Their instructions didn't say anything about temperature)

I'm on the fence with these, so I need some help--

Those with Black: Would you recommend these mirror covers on your car, or did you find too little of a difference?

Well my car is almost black (alloy) - and I recommend them. They give a two-toned sportier look to the car, breaking up the all-matte black plastic.
