I finally get to install the SS body kit on my car (Thanks to an early christmas present from my older brother). I will post pics when its painted and installed. I'm headed out tomorrow to get the kit fit on the car and painted. For those who already have the kit or any other similar body kit, what should I expect to pay for paint and install?

For a "good" job expect to pay $1,500-$2,000 to have the body kit epoxy coated, primed and painted and installed. Mine cost $2,000 CAD onlty because I knew the owner. They originally wanted close to $3,000 CAD

Yeah I know, I am really lucky. I'm having a hard time finding a shop to get it painted. The shops I've gone to don't have time to work on it till mid Jan. and the earliest one is asking 2500+ for paint and install. They said the Front bumper will take 8 hours to install?? @ $60/hr ... I'll have to keep looking. I don't want a cheap paint job either but 2500+ seems too much to me. Either way it has to get done, the wait almost feels like the wait from when i first got the car ....

I was referring to a savings of $1600+
So Cal is an extremely expensive place to have custom body work performed.
I've considered going out of state just to have stripes painted on properly.

I would be interested in a name/number, TKS.

I had two shops give me an estimate of $250 to paint a CDC classic splitter. No install, just paint.
I told the last one to get his calendar so I could set up a appointment, right after the day pigs fly.

Dude you are in PRIME territory for some great body shops.

Lanzini quoted me $1,500 for paint and install of the body kit and the ducktail.

I wanted to go with him and kind of wished I had because of heard nothing but good things but he was booked and I didn't want to wait.

I got mine done at M.O.B. Works (both of these places are in Orange County) and they charged around $1,400 they did a really good job on the paint... but their attention to detail was a bit lacking.

I had to go back a couple of times to get them to correct things like matching the body kit up to the seams on the body properly.

They have since fixed everything to my satisfaction and Miguel is a great guy so I wouldn't have any reservations in recommending them, BUT make sure you look the car over before you take it or you may have to bring it back

Of course you're in O.C. so it's not as big a haul for you ( I live in Hollywood)

Good luck and nice choice it's a GREAT body kit I get lots of compliments

Thanks for every ones comments and input. I ended up going with M.O.B. Works and should be done sometime next week. I'll post pics when its finished. I was wondering about the lower grill area though. I'm not sure if I should fill the area with SS's speed grill or just leave it open. Any pics of both cases out there????

Mineral Grey and a Street Scene kit looks outstanding. I should know. Haha!

Too bad you're running the belly button of 05 Mustang wheels. I'm getting so insanely burnt out on those dang Foose Nitrous wheels. It's just like the American Racing Torq Thrust II's...but to each their own.
