MGW honeycomb panel and MAG inserts..

Hey all,

I havent done any ext mods to my car but I was wondering how many of you like the MGW honeycomb panel and MAG mirror inserts. My car is an '06 that is torch red in color. Do you think they would look good? Anyone have pics (esp. the panel on a torch red)?

Thanks. your advice is very much appreciated.

p.s. I hardly ever post but I read often and you guys have some sick stangs! Wish I made more $$$. Oh well. Gotta start somewhere

MGW Honeycomb panel?
You must mean Silverhorseracing honeycomb panel.

Don't have a torch red but this is how it looks on an ALLOY.

Unless you try waxing it, nope it is easy to clean and an extremely well made product, many people give it a 10 out of 10 and i am thinking of buying it soon

The blackout panel is really easy to clean. It really doesn't take that much work at all. All you have to do to dry it is take a nice microfiber and dab it dry. It soaks up most of the water that collects in the honeycomb. Silverhorse is also excellent with customer service, I would HIGHLY recommend any of their products!

I would highly recommend it. I get tons of compliments. As far as cleaning the honeycomb panel, I would suggest drying any wet spots especially the corners with Q-tip's. I'm not **** but I want my panel to look prestine. You'll love it!

Here's the Silverhorse panel on Torch Red (one of the favorite items I've added to my car):

The honeycomb would look better if it deleted the fake gas cap. I'll just have to live with what I have until then.

Pantera: I would tend to agree on the fake gas cap but I think I am going to go with the Silverhorse medallion that gives the retro look and it will help.

Honeycomb panel?....yeah,I got one of those...

I actually like the faux "gas cap". It's one of those retro touches that I think really works well with the overall styling.

Are you gonna take off the blackout panel to put it on? I took mine off to adjust it and it was a PITA. I was considering doing something with the faux gas cap, but I don't know if I want to deal with taking that thing off again.

Quick note from Mustang Week guys

I came in from the beach for this... anyway, you don't have to remove the honeycomb panel to install a rear medallion - we have done a bunch of them "after the fact" and it's not a big deal - plus I'm too lazy to remove the one on our white car to replace the center, so I wrote the directions assuming the honeycomb panel was already in place.

HTH - now back to the beach!

I'm ordering both tonight. I was thinking of also ordering louvers. Obviously, the SHR ones are the best but are not within my budget witht the other two. Should I wait 9 months and get them or get CDC/DG ones (which I like also)? Seeing pics of everybodys cars is starting to make me impatient.

Personally the SHR louvers are the ONLY part that ever made me even slightly regret having a 'vert. I'd wait and save up for them. It's less expensive than buying something else, then giving in and going for the SHR's six months from now.
