I'm looking into painted stripes on my Torch Red, and am trying to decide if I should have the stripes done in a metallic paint or not.

Since Torch Red is non-metallic, I'm thinking metallic stripes could add some dimension to them, and make then stand out even more.

But on the other hand, not having seen it in person before, it may end up FUGLY.

Has anyone done it? What are your thoughts? Do you think it would look OK, or just odd?

Thanks for the input...

I think it would look good. I saw a red stang with the silver metallic rally stripes, and it looked good !!!!

Bill on here has it done.

I painted my stripes dark charcoal metalic on peerformance white. It looks awesome. It's the same paint code as the bullitt wheels whick is not drastically metallic IMO. Like the flakes are not huge metallic flakes, kind of suttle. I get alot of comments on the stripes.

Thanks!

I've seen a lot of white stripes on Torch Red, so I'm thinking of going with a bright silver metallic of some sort.

Robyn - LOVE the dark charcoal stripes on your car! Turned out great!

I don't see why not. I think it would look good. People with Metallic painted cars get non-metallic stripes as well

Brad, I was about to say the first Shelby's were white with blue metallic stripes. Looked great on there. By the way, Ryan... what color stripes are you wanting to go with?

Thanks, what rims do you have? You could go with the Dark Charcoal metalic too, that would look great with red and Bullitts! Bright Silver would look awesome as well! You can't go wrong either way

I have the "upgrade" machine rims. I'll be swapping those out at some point though.

I haven't really decided what color I want to go with yet - I'm definitly going to go metallic now though.

I'm still thinking either bright silver, a darker charcoal, or white.

I loved how the stripes looked on the Titanium show car too though... nice and subtle. But I don't think there's a similar color that would have as good of an effect on Torch Red.

I'll probably end up out at the paint shop holding a bunch of color swatches up to the paint to decide.

Hopefully once I see them, something will strike up a .

If anyone has color recommendations, I'd love to hear them.
