I've searched posts on several forums and have yet to find a company actually selling metal louvers. Astra Hammond will apparently have some later this summer but that's it. Anyone else?

John - the Astra Hammond were the only ones I've found as well. stinks really, as this is the one exterior mod I really want to do. Guess I'll wait and see what's available in the future...

It's the rear window louvres. And yes, MRT has metal available but I've read that the fit & finish is not that good that's why I was looking at the Astra Hammond set...

Yeah, that's what I heard. Hard to believe this accessory isn't a priority. Well, even without them I still have a good $700 in mods to order tonight, and that doesn't include the tires. My son works at Munroe Muffler and think I can get a discount through him and their Mr. Tire affiliate. Half price on BFG kdws 255/50-17s would be nice.

The original target street date for the aluminum Astra Hammond louvers was supposed to be the end of May. At that point they told me that they hadnt even finished the design, much less set up for production. They said they had adjusted the target date to the end of June.

Being the end of June now, I just called them (888-945-5725) for a status check. They told me that they are still having issues with the design. At this point they have no projected ETA on their model.

So the current choices seem to be:
1)Visus/MRT (overpriced)
2) Plastic Astra Hammond (cheap)
3) Wait.

Wait. I also read somewhere but forgot to bookmark someone is working on FLUSH side window louvers. Not sure how they will do it, but I'm willing to wait a bit for those as well.

Ah well, I'll take the money set aside for the louvers and dress up the engine bay...
