Maximum Tire Size For Fanblade Wheels?
Had a tuner shop tell me yesterday that the 18" Ford premium fanblade wheels are actually quite readily able to accept up to a 265 series tire; and they claim to know because they say they've done it. There was no doubt in their minds, whatsoever, and these guys do A LOT of Mustangs.
Yet this seems to contradict what many here have said: that the Ford OEM fanblades will only take up to 255 tires, max.
Any thoughts from anyone here on this...?

a 255/45 18" tire needs a rim with 8.0 to 9.5 inches width
a 265/40 18" tire needs a rim with 9.0 to 10.5 inches width

Fanblades are 8.5" so I believe 265 tire will not fit
