Just wanted to get some opinions on whether or not people think matte black stripes on an alloy grey stang would look good. I can't really decide on matte black or gloss black. Thanks for your time and opinions!

Know the issues of having matte stripes. I had them and love them but, you can't wax them or great wax on them. Gloss is way easier on the car's upkeep.

 

I had both,you just dont wax the stripes thats all but in looks matte looks way much better,thats what girls have commented and usually you have to go for what they like ;-P

NOOOOO Matte Black stands out better than gloss. The gloss car finish sets off the Matte black. Gloss on Gloss is Lost

 

if I put them on my alloy then they will barely be visible, correct? idk if you've seen them on an alloy before or not though...

 

It's your car. But IMO Matte will stand out against the gloss. Also gloss stripes show every imperfection in the vinyl. Post pictures of your finish product and suprise us all.

 

I was browsing through a couple of threads and found this... I think I'll be going with this setup after I'm able to do all my performace mods. I'm only 17 so it might take a while. It's not gonna be til' after Christmas before I can get them done. Can't wait!!!!

Hey can you send a picture of what those stripes look like. My stang is alloy grey and I'm interested in getting stripes. I was looking for silver metallic but depends how dark they are.

Depends on if you want it to look cute or tough... Matte is the way man. Do the rocker stripes too. I'll be getting 12" le mans and rocker stripes in matte black after Xmas. Gonna get my wheels painted black with a polished lip at the same time. I think it'll look great on the charcoal too man. Just make sure you look at TONS of pics dude.

 

I did gloss on the Mrs' car.....looks awesome.

 

I finally saw a black gt with matte black lemans and it looked great. Christmas can't come soon enough!
