I'm worried that my 4" will melt or burn the bumper. I have the whole cat back kit. Now just need the car.

Tips look good.

A suggestion. Search the forum for pics of my car with the stock mufflers painted high heat flat black. IMO it looks a lot better.

Were the tips clean this time?

Edit: Pic on bottom of page 2.

They remind me of my friend's 98 GT... his pipes are just 2.5" angled tips and they stick out at least 4 or 5 inches. I think it looks ok. I personally like them in a bit more. But those tips yRene got put on are a heck of a lot better than the stock ones.

Joe... I have 4" Magnaflow rolled tips and mine have about 3/4" inch all the way around. As long as you can stick your finget tip between the tip and the bumper, it shouldn't burn.

Thanks. Yeh, these were clean thi time. They are 4 Inch 2.5 Inlet and 8.25 long. Slight angle on the tip, but not much. I think 2.5".
They stick out only 1/8 inch longer then stock . They are bigger. so it looks like the stick out more....moren ot really.

Same price as the smaller ones. $149 for both tips, and to cut off the old ones, and weld on the new ones.

MAGNAFLOW PERFORMANCE ITEM NO. 35164 4 " rolled tips

Yeh........we also have a 2005 Escape Limited. ( For those snowed days)

Rene, I got the Magnaflow axle-back #15882. Those are the tips that came with it. And thanks. By the way, I take back what I said about the "GT300" not looking right in the center of the fender like you have it. It's grown on me. Looks great!

Thanks. I looked at more pics on that GT300 , and believe it not, I have seen them positioned in several different spots. Some had the black center stripe showing on both sides, and some just up front....either way, mine are there to stay and I think they look ok.

Are your tips 4" wide? I thought so , cause I have seen those before and really liked how they fill the cut outs on the bumper, so that is what made me go with the 4inch rounded rolled tips. Fills those holes 100% better then the factory ones, or even the ones that FORD offers as an aftermarket bolt on.....( Just my opinion)

They look great. Congrats!!

Thanks. And yes, they are 4" tips also. I think I get more compliments on the tips than the sound coming out of them. Go figure.
