Made Some Changes, How Does It Look?
#1
Hey All, I finally got my scoops painted and installed. At first, I was a little leary about them, but now I love them. I've gotten nothing but good comments about them. I even had some guy ask if it was the new Shelby.
Just wanted to share the pics with you and see what you guys think.

Yes, actually all the scoops are held on with double sided 3M tape (supposed to hold up to 200mph, guess we'll see!) except for the hood scoop which had to have two holes drilled into the hood. Painful to watch the drill bit going into the hood but man is it worth it!

Nice looking ride, Matt.
The lower scoop is pretty well-integrated. I like it, but the upper scoop worries me a little. Doesn't it create a blind spot? Watch those lane changes!
Did the parts come painted or did the installer take care of that? Are you planning to add stripes of any kind?
I'm glad you're happy with the way they came out! Thanks for posting the pic.

Yeah, I obliviously can't see out the fastback windows anymore but I rely on the side mirrors alot and the back window.
I had the option of buying the parts painted but it was $100 cheaper unpainted. Luckily I have a connection with an Auto Body worker at the Ford Dealership who painted AND installed everything for me for $150. I figured that would be the best bet since he had Ford's Satin Silver paint at his disposal. It matches perfectly.
Still debating the stripes but as of right now, probably not. The only other thing I want to do is get some chrome bullitt wheels with the Pony spinners.

ehhh..i would assume it looks better in person than in the pictures...I like the side scoops a lot, but the C-pillar ones are way too big and bulky...same for the hood scoop. I think the more subtle, the better...like the side scoop.

Well where did you get those cpillar and window scoops, still undecided on the ones I want. Either BBR, or wait on CDC. Not sure. Any info on where you got them, especially if they will paint them. Thanks for info.

I like the clean look. It could look even better if you can find a chin spoiler which would not be too pronounced.
I would prefer the Bullitt wheels on it.

I love the fastback window scoops. I was thinking of getting those as well. I'm not sure on the side scoops. I would consider them if they actually did something tho.
As far as the hood scoop, I think it looks nice. I'm looking at getting a different hood altogether. Probably something closer to the gt500 or concept car look.

Looks good!
I know what you mean about the holes...I put the CDC Shaker on my 01 GT myself...had to cut a 9" square hole in my hood with a jigsaw! All was well though.

I like it alot! Nice color GT too! I would like to see it without the lower scoops though! The fastback window one's are nice & the hood scoop too. You could always make the hood scoop funtional someday too.
