They all look pretty good.

I would lean toward #4, then #3, then #2 the Boss wheels in the latest shots just above. Just not a real fan of the first set. But, I keep going back and forth on the best look of #4 vs #3. Silver is the one to go with.

Yep, consistently Vossen stays in the lead, and I've finally settled on them. Definitely going to be Vossen. As far as color goes, I'd say 3/4 people I talk to say go w/ the silver, the rest say graphite. A couple had a good point that the silver will match the stripes better, although my brother said silver will make it look like a stock Taurus . In order to get that silver though, I've gotta go custom. The rep at Vossen put me in touch with a wheel shop in LA that can finish them in brushed silver exactly like they used to come, or they said they can do something custom. Maybe instead of going silver OR graphite, I do a little bit of both. Maybe I can leave the lip and spokes brushed, but do the rest of the wheel in a metallic grey like the stock Bullitt's which match the car pretty well. Or matte gray.

Here's an example of the stock brushed silver vs a custom graphite w/ brushed face

Stock silver

photoshopped to be matte graphite w/ brushed face

So I finally put the order in today, should be here in 6-8 weeks, which puts it around early/mid June. Plenty of summer left! Went back and forth with the shop over color options, offsets, etc and settled on gloss gunmetal for the inner/window/lip (their terminology) and the face will be brushed, same as the photoshops above.

Here's a pic of the color:

Pics in Silver for reference

And my best attempt at rendering it in the color.

Should add a little more contrast than a total silver/brushed wheel without going too dark. The spokes and the sides of the spokes have a nice contour that really sets them apart for me, and if you go too dark you'll lose that. If you go totally black, they barely look any different from what you could get from AM / LMR. And if I'm spending Vossen money, I want them to look the part!

Got the wheels, and gotta say, I was pretty pissed. Not anything about the wheels but FedEx. My wife works from home most of the week except Wednesday's and the wheels were supposed to be here on Tuesday, which she was going to be home for, so, cool. The wheel shop shipped them w/ "Direct signature required" for obvious reasons, it said so on FedEx's tracking site. Following the tracking all week, seeing it move from CA to AZ to TX to PA, all looking good. And then on Monday it just stops in PA. And Tuesday...sitting in PA.... OK fine, I had the appt to get the tires mounted on Friday, so I had some margin.
And then the wheels start moving again tuesday night, in MD, and then finally in VA by Wednesday morning and on a truck out for delivery. Damnit. I didn't have a lot going on at work that day and plenty of vacation, so I was thinking about calling out, but my wife says "Well it's gotta be signed for so OK it'll be delayed a day but I'll be home on Thursday". Go to work and around 11 I check the tracking and... DELIVERED. WTF?!?!?! SO now I'm racing home to see if the boxes were left on the back deck or somewhere inconspicuous. And guess what I saw when I got home. A nice big stack of "VOSSEN" boxes right in front of my garage.

OK, rant over. I get the wheels out of the boxes, look them over, all . Finish came out **** near perfect, they look amazing in person and fit like a glove. I put them on the front hubs and gave them a spin and absolutely no runout/wobble at all -- like they came off a lathe. Only thing that surprised me was the offset. When I was talking to the shop they said the reco'd fittments were 19x8.5+35 Front & 19x10+42 Rear, which they'd used for years on S197's no problems. It was different from the fittment American Muscle had on their site for the VFS-1's (19x8.5+32 Front & 19x10+48 Rear), but wheels are their business

When I test fit the rims, it looked like the wheels were sticking out from the wheel wells, but when when you look down the side of the car, they actually come pretty much right in line with the fenders. Maybe I'm used to the stock rims which are inset like an inch. I'm a little worried about rubbing, but I think my suspension isn't slammed, the tires are going to curve in at the shoulder, and my Konig 18's are about the same, so I should be fine.

Almost looks like it's sticking out

but it's really in line

full suspension droop makes it look worse too

Konigs for reference

Sorry for the wait on these, the weather's really been sucking around here whenever I actually have time to get a decent pic. Even this morning, it wasn't great - just good enough. 99% humidity so my lens kept fogging up on me (think I actually got drew some condensation on the inside of one when I was zooming, so now dehumidifying it). So here's what I got:

As far as how they drive -- awesome. Way more comfortable and quiet than I expected. When I went from stock 17's to 18's it was a bigger jump in harshness than from 18's to these 19's. Could be the tires too though -- the NT555's I have on the 18's are pretty old (and terrible), and in a whole different category compared to these (Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position S04). I took an on-ramp 10-15 mph faster than I normally would have and had just loads of grip. Enough I slid out of my seat into the door! Well worth it!

Think you made the right choice on the Vossen wheels. The design and color match up perfectly with your Car's gray exterior.. Meanwhile, congrats and thanks for sharing images

Thanks man, appreciate it. Usually I'd have some buyers remorse after spending this much money on something like wheels, but no regrets this time!

Agree, those look fantastic on your car. Great choice. Gives it that Shelby Alcoa wheel look, but just enough different to be your own! I don't think you could have found a better look. A Really Classy Look. Very Nice choice! Definitely one I would use if the itch comes.
