Look what's next for my Pony...
The stripe kit I bought already has the spacing designed in so that they do not wrap around the edges.

Factory badgeless cars will have no problems.

When I do mine i'll probably replace the pony badge with a "4.0" or "Powered by Ford" badge to alleviate the offset issue. The PBF emblem is my favorite so far. Just wonder if there should be a negative stripe (like the BOSS letters) behind the badge or just have it on top of the decal.

I assume when you say "negative stripe" you mean the cut out or relief in the stripe showing body color where the Boss letters would normally go. Well, it will look good either with or without the cut out. It will indeed look best of you leave the perimeter pinstripe intact and continuous if you decide to cut out a relief. I am looking forward to seeing it when you get it done.
I wish I had thought up your idea of the Powered By Ford badges before I stuck my ponies back on. I think that would have worked perfectly if the locator pin holes are not spaced too far apart in height. Well, I know for sure they are no higher than the standard GT badges which use the same pin locator holes in the fenders.
It's now really bugging the crap out of me that my Pony's are not centered and I am afraid to try to take them off for fear of damaging the stripe. Any time something is not centered it drives me crazy...
For instance, I used to have a 1970 Mach 1 style hood stripe that I put on myself. It was just crooked enough that it drove me crazy. It did not lay right in a couple of spots either. I got aggravated and peeled the entire thing off.

I am back to contemplating what to use for the hood stripe...
The first two pictures show the Mach 1 stripe I had previously installed...crooked...
The second picture is the new Boss 302 hood decal.
The third is a variation of a Mach 1 hood stripe for the 2010+ powerdome hood.
My gut keeps telling me go with the Mach 1 stripe I had before...
