More i see this grill the more I like it. I used to have pet snakes and the front view of this car with the centermount fogs reminds me of snakes head for some reason. Killer .

How do the emblems attach to the grill???? Looks awesome by the way....
This is a good question. I'm guessing it takes some rigging up. If you buy a OEM or NOS grille emblem, it may come with clips or something like that to attach it.

I know we say this too much but we use a real thin 3M tape with the stock emblems often and it works great!

Didn't even think about that, Mike. Your mesh grille is pretty dense, so there's plenty for the emblem to stick to. 3M tape would work just fine.

I just finished the install on mine as well - couple of notes:
(1) I also had to spread out the mounting points to make the stock housing brace fit - no big deal - Mike at Street Scenes walked me through it.

(2) wrt mounting an emblem - I also mounted a Shelby GT emblem that I got from Mustang's Unlimited. It had four mounting posts across the back. I went to my local hardware shop and picked up "press on retaining caps". These are flat pieces of metal with a hole in the center and an "X" stamped over the hole. If you have ever assembled a kids toy you have seen these things. They go on once - must be pulled off and cannot be reused. I cleaned the emblem and grill with rubbing alcohol. Applied 3M tape & then pressed on the retaining caps. -- Worked like a charm!

I'm seriously looking at this grill once my car comes in. I just wanted to ask the few who have installed it. What is the deal with having to do some custom work on it? Do the fog lights not fit properly or what?

Looks great. I'm still waiting for mine. I removed the old grille yesterday. What a pain. Tell me more about what needs to be drilled and what exactly do you mean by stretching the grill openings to make the lights fit. That doesn't sound right to me.

got mine from muscle car direct.....about 269 I believe.

You drill the holes in the rubber post, about center. you place the fog lights one post at a time and put in the screws.

Not sure I completely understand this... but I think it's one of those things were once you get it in front of you, you can figure it out, right? As long as you have a little skills with putting things together, along with some sense of rigging things up, you should be fine. I'll take my chances at having to rig it up a little for that look. Completely changes the front of the car. This grille just went to the top of my list.

The emblem has 4 post and I got the mounting nuts with them. I took a old DVD plastic container and cut it down to fit the out line of the emblem. I then drilled the holes to match up with the post. I found out where I wanted the emblem to mount and put masking tape to mark the locations. I used a thin layer of RTV Silicone clear sealant (at walmart...made by permatex) on the back of emblem. And placed it on the spot I marked earlier with the tape. I then flipped it over and put on the plastic backing also with a thin layer of sealant. I used masking tape to hole both together against the grill and let it set up ( 1/2 hour). I then put the mounting nuts on the back of the posts and covered with a light layer of sealant. It totally cures in 24 hours.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the comments

Emblems are a STICKY subject in more ways than one.

NOTE: the install of the fog lights in the new grill, requires you to drill new holes. And you have to STRETCH the grill openings to make the lights fit.
Care to elaborate a bit on drilling new holes and "stretching" the openings? I have the same grille on order (like many others here) and I'm curious as to what needs to be done to install the stock foglamps in the new grille.

Thanks,
Louie.

The guy at the 1888 number told me to drill 1/8" bit in the center of the post. they are kind of rubbery. You place the lamp in the opening. You will find that one bracket matches up perfectly. on is a little off and 2 are totally off. Put a screw in the bracket that matches up perfectly, then go across from it and put that one it (this may require you to push the mounting post over some to match up. continue on untill you have done all 4 (not as bad as it sounds).
