I drilled mine on my own. Not that bad, just buy a good set of new drill bits so they won't 'drift' on you, take your time w/ the template and your pilot holes. Use the rustproofing that comes w/ the DT. If you want to plan ahead, get some touchup paint and apply it after you drill your holes. I'd still put the rustproofing on afterwards though just in case. Good luck, it's actually not one of my favorite mods, but it seems to be everyone else's favorite.

I love the ducktail, but I'm always looking at things in a cost/benefit sort of way. I like all of my mods equally, they all slightly affect the look of the car. My favorite mod is the painted grill in the front bumper... just as dramatic of a change as any other, but a freebie
I look at the DT as $400, everyone else loves it b/c it looks great and doesn't cost them anything... get my point? That's all, there's absolutely nothing wrong w/ it, I love it.

I installed mine last weekend, my friend who works at a body shop painted it for me free.
Couple of installation tips: The templates have a lot of 'play' in them, and it's possible to get the holes off to one side or another. I had to 'side drill' (scoot the drill hole over) on the driver side piece in order to get it to line up with the body contours. My wife was looking at me like I was CRAZY, she was freaking out when I was drilling the holes. A step bit is VERY useful, get one for this job.
Make sure that whoever paints it does NOT paint the tape pulloffs on the decklid (center) piece, when you pull off the tape cover, the clear will flake off and make a mess (and possibly compromise the stickiness).
If you use the 'rustproofing' that CDC provides, use a small acid brush to apply around the holes you've drilled and LET IT DRY (20-30 mins) before bolting the spoiler on.
You may need to trim the doubleside tape that comes with the end pieces after you put them on the pieces, use a razorblade.
If anyone wants to see what the CDC looks like on a black GT, let me know and I will post pics.

Looks very good David. Our cars are getting more and more similiar. I have ordered a rear blackout overlay but it will be matt black.
I guess I had better get some wax on mine. Your car is much more shinny than mine!
