Introducing the Cervinis B2
Introducing the Cervinis B2
I just got back from the World Ford Challenge 9 in St. Louis. Cervinis was there, and I just loved their new B2 body kit, (I guess for Boss2?). It is so subtle, you have to look to see just what was done, but it is as good at replicating a Boss 302 as Fang's kits are for replicating the look of the '67-'68 Shelbys. I got lots of pics, and prices, too. It isn't on their website yet, but will be in a month or so. The guy claimed that the parts were now available. (Odd to have parts before being able to update a website.) Anyway, I kinda wished I had waited to fix up my car, because the one they had was just killing me. I'll post a couple of pics and see if anyone else is as excited as I am, rather than just go on and on about it. Interested?
I think its awsume. But the Graphics are Mach1.But I like where there going with it.Are those the new CS wheels that just came out for the 05+ from Shelby?I 'd love to have a set of those wheels.
Be nice if they used the rear louvers that are on the PJ BOSS 302.
Can you post more pics of the car?

Yeah I'm interested. I've been a big fan of the fang ram air and hood.
I like how the hood come more forward (more of an overhang) than the factory one (kinda like the Fang Mystery8).
I'm not sure about the rear yet. I do like how it is more integrated than other ducktails at the lower edges. I think I would prefer it without a rear spoiler and the side stripes.
Any word on how the ram air system is set up? Also would be interested in the pricing and extra pixs.

Well at least it looks better than their Eleanor kit... but that's not saying much.
The back of the ducktail looks great, but the endcaps are way too bulky on the front side. (just like the end caps on their Eleanor spoiler)

The graphics are not Mach1. They are about as Boss as you can get. The blacked-out hood is '69 Mach style, but the stripes are all Boss. The wheels are 18x8 Magnum 500s, which they will sell, not CS wheels. The hood does come farther forward (4"), which makes the grille deeper set. It seemed very sturdy, and the guy said that no hood pins are recommended (unlike the RKSport hoods). The retro hood will come with shaker, Mach1 scoop, Boss 429 scoop, or without hole or scoop. Windshield sprayers are relocated under the rear edge. The kit uses stock front and rear fascias, and stock headlights, but I love the look. The shaker is straight from CDC, but the new rear wing looks like it's right off a '69 Boss. It's even adjustable!. To me, it's just so clean and simple, like Ford could have made it that way to begin with. The 12-piece body kit (vintage hood, shaker scoop, 3-piece headlight and grille extensions, chin spoiler, C-stripe, rear louvers, pedestal wing, and 3-piece ducktail) is about $2550. You can get the shaker, hood, and front extensions for $1200. Front and rear spoilers are $200 each, ducktail is $275. Louvers are $400, tire/wheel combo is $2800
, but they do look great! I was told that Cervinis would be coming out with several new hoods soon, including one like the concept car (kinda California Dream hood-like). I wish I hadn't even seen this car. I like it that much.
The car just "clicked".

Well I guess I am in the minority.
Never have liked the "C" stripes.
Not diggin' the chin spoiler at all. Don't like the way it just squares off on the sides.
No love for having a duck tail AND a rear spoiler.
Never been a fan of those wheels either.
BUT... I do like the white with flat black.

I can certainly understand if it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if you don't like it, do you not like the original Boss (too busy?) either, or do you just not like Cervinis version? I would think a '70 Boss version would be a logical future option, and it shouldn't cost any more. I just scanned in a flyer they gave me. It also looks great in yellow...
Wow! I normally just lurk but this one brought me out of the shadows. The '69s have always been my favorite mustangs and this is the best homage I've seen to them yet. Very faithful down to having both the ducktail and a spoiler and even the "diamond" shape on the edge of the front spoiler. (Even though I personally prefer the CDC classic). If I had a lighter colored car I'd be saving my pennies for this kit. Here's a '69 version (without a shaker).
