I think they look a lot better than the amber ones. I definitely need to get the stealth bulbs though. They were a breeze to put in... took about 30 minutes.

Is it legal to have any other color other than amber in a front turn signal? They look good!

The color of the illumination isn't changed.

DPS states Amber or White if I am not mistaken. But like Brad said the illumination color is still amber, using the Stealth bulbs.

The one thing not thought about is the amber reflection at night if your lights are not lit, that is the orginal reason for them along with the red for rear sides. That was why side ambers were first placed on the 67 Mustang and red rear followed in 68.

My 1000th post!

Quote from Oklahoma Department of Public Safety concerning Turn Signals.

"A. Every vehicle shall be equipped with turn signal lamps that flash for the purpose of indicating the intention to turn either to the left or to the right.

B. The flashing turn signal lamps required by this section:

1. Shall show to the front and rear of the vehicle;

2. On the front of the vehicle, shall be located on the same level, as widely spaced laterally as practicable, at a height of not more than seventy-two (72) inches nor less than fifteen (15) inches, and when in use shall display a white or amber light, or any shade of color between white and amber, visible from a distance of not less than five hundred (500) feet to the front in normal sunlight; and

3. On the rear of the vehicle, shall be located at the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable, at a height of not more than seventy-two (72) inches nor less than fifteen (15) inches, and when in use shall display a red or amber light, or any shade of color between red and amber, visible from a distance of not less than five hundred (500) feet to the rear in normal sunlight."

So in Oklahoma anyway, it's not illegal. They can be white and be perfectly legal.

Those look great! I think they look especially good on the white and silver - kind of an "ice" look. I'm really considering those myself.

My "clears" came in today. MRT tinted them and they look AWESOME.

They'll be installed with the next group of mods, somewhere around July 1.

Kirby - Looks like crap on white!!! JK, I love it, great job!! This is still my favorite change to my car. Makes a BIG difference, I get comments all the time like, "something's different about your car, but I can't figure it out". And this is from Mustang people.......

Maybe they are legal in Oklahoma and yes they look good, but this saftey point still stands: they don't reflect a warning color at night.

I suppose they do reflect white?

I got tired of trying to catch one on ebay so I paid a little extra and got one from JEGS. Here is the direct link to the part.

I'll have to go check tonight, but I would figure that even my clears have a reflective nature to them. So if another light hits them, they would reflect back. Does your state make them reflect back amber/yellow??
