Here are some quick pictures I took after the install. Only took about 2 hours and the quality of the Lightbar is great.

Does the light come on everytime you step on the brake? Wether the top is down or up? Wouldn't that get kinda of annoying? Not to mention blinding the rear passengers...

Other than that, it looks great Very nice car...

That looks really awesome!. CDC did a nice job with the roll bar appearance. I wondered if that 3rd brake light is functional with the top up also. I assume your stock 3rd light is working, so you essentially have 4 brake lights.

The LED light on the bar does work whether the top is up or down. To me it is not annoying at all and no one has yet to ride in the back yet. Other than that the fit and finish is great.

Is the LED visible through the window at all while the top is up?

If you don't want the LEDs on the light bar to work when the top is up, you can install a light bar switch from www.webelectricproducts.com.
I put one on my 99 vert last week. I have it wired so when the top is up only the stop light on the trunk works. When the top is down (most of the time) only the LED in the light bar works. You can also wire it so both the light bar and trunk lights work when the top is down.

No the LED light itself is not visible but there is red glow coming from inside the cabin, not bright enough to be annoying though.

Hi Wes,
Your light bar looks great!!!!!!! Got a Performance white Vert and just ordered the Classic Chin spoiler from CDC tonite. I am interested in a light bar also. Does the bar bolt to steel structure under the plastic trim? They claim it stiffens the body structure. What do you think? I have a medium parchment interior and can't find a picture of their camel color to see if it will match.

Hey Scott thanks for the compliment. If it does stiffen the body structure I can't notice. About the bar itself, first you have to remove the shoulder strap guide under the plastic trim and install the bracket under the guide. Then drill into the sheet metal to secure the bracket even more. Check out the CDC website, they have detailed instructions with pictures, that should be able to help you more.

I saw on someone's web site they make a clear plexiglas piece that mounts to the lightbar, creating a wind blocker. I wouldn't want that, but if CDC were to come up with a mesh screen that would mount in there, that would make an excellent wind blocker.
