Ideas/suggestions

Hey, I'm not really "new" to the sight I guess, but this is my first post. But this isn't an introduction so here we go.

I have an 05 gt in torch red w/ flat black 10" racing stripes. I'm satisfied with performance (intake, tune, exhaust) and I'm looking for some aesthetic upgrades now. I want to lower it 1" in the rear and keep with the red/black theme. Should I stay with the regular racing stripes an go wider or go with a different style?

Hood scoops, side scoops, louvers, lights, etc. What are your opinions? Just wanted some input before I start ordering stuff. Thanks!

There is a pic of my car too for reference.

I'd consider doing something a little different with the stripes. The 10" "Le Mans" duals are sort of the defacto standard S197 Mustang stripe scheme, and pretty common by now.

Maybe consider adding pinstipes to the outside of the existing stripes? (easy and cheap) or going with some variant of the Super Snake style (1 wide center, 2 narrow outers)

Clear turn signals with black inner detail would be another suggestion to bump up the red/black theme

I'm only worried about how the paint will look when I remove the existing stripes. If it's faded noticeably, then what can I do about that?

I was thinking about the boss stripes without the boss 302 text, maybe a different text. I like the clear signals w/ maybe some switchback LEDs in there? Smoked tails and sidemarkers would be good too?

I want to keep it clean and attractive, but I'm tired of it looking so much like stock. I have the stock 17" gt 5 spokes painted black w/ a lip and they are decent or now.

How much is a typical install for stripes?
Also I have been looking at an eleanor style grille but I can't find one in black billet, only in the honeycomb style.

I'd go with a GT/CS front fascia and clear/black turn signals (as Torch_Vert recommended). I think they would both look great with your black stripes. Here's a shot of mine - feel free to 'chop in your black stripes over my white ones if you want a better idea of how it would look on yours.

I'd leave the stripes alone. Black on red looks great. The next thing I would do is take care of the front end. Maybe the Street Scene bumper, a CDC classic spoiler, or LNR Eleanor bumper? I would paint and stripe it to match.

So I'm thinking about a boss stripe package, but only if my current stripes didnt leave a reverse fade. It's an 05 but I'm not sure how log it has had the current stripes. Will it have left a reverse fade?

The fade or change in color will depend on how long the stripes have been on, and how much the car has been in the sun. If the stripes have been on for 5 years and in the sun every day, there will be a color change.

Do you see anything over at Trufiber or Trucarbon that you like?

I love the trufiber venom 2 hood but I don't have an unlimited budget and painting is not cheap.

I bought an Eleanor style grille an clear corners w/ switchbacks along with headlights an foglight 6000k hids.

Im considering 12" gloss stripes with 1/4" pinstripes to replace my current stripes.

I also am set on a hood scoop, Eleanor louvers, and gt/cs side scoops. Oh, and a set of roush rear springs to drop the rear down some.

Sounds like a lot, but I've been savings and it's time to spend it!

I think the black stripes would look cooler with some gun metal pinstripe borders around them.

Ok so I went ahead and got the center fog light grille an clear corners (not installed yet in pic) and the swithback led turn bulbs, and hid lights all around!

As far as a 1/4 window louver, how good is the quality on the pre-painted ones from american muscle?
