This would be a lot cheaper than buying a replacement fascia with built in fogs like the Roush or Steeda ones, or buying the GT/CS fascia and the aftermarket fog light inserts offered by Shelby.

Plus you don't have the added expense of having to paint the new fascia.
I saw a pic of a red GT at SEMA with the same grill and foglights as your chop. I have been looking and waiting for the same product to be released. I don't have a copy of the pic but its in a thread in these forums.

Edit: check the fogs in the pic in post #83 (anyone know what fog kit these are? In the meantime I'll continue to hunt for the mystery red GT pic)

I'd seen that one before too, but it looks like those are mounted in the opening rather than the honeycomb insert sections.

i JUST installed my CDC black billet grille and love it, the only problem is it doesnt match the lower "honeycomb" grille. if somebody released a billet grille with fogs it would be perfect.
Me too. I've been looking at the mounts on my CDC to think of ways to mount the stock fogs behind the grille but for all of my abilities fabrication is not one of them.

If we got a set like those 2.9" hella's. How difficult to adapt into the factory fog light switch?

The new Shelby GT-H convertible that is out now has a lower grille with foglights AND openings for brake ducts. I just saw advertisements for Hertz in the latest car mags and noticed this.

Cheers

I had asked earlier if the GT-H one would work on the GT and was informed that that it would not as the openings are different sizes.

We need a version of this for the GT. Brake duct holes + fogs?

That's what I want right there, but without the billet... If we had the fog/brake duct hole section that would replace the honeycomb part of our lower grille, that would be perfect... Why did they have to make these different sizes! Argh!

Are we absolutely sure that grille is not able to be used with a stock GT bumper? I know it is not designed to work with the stock GT bumper, but is it possibly able to be modified to work?...

As chance would have it, I just bought a used lower grille on eBay for not much bucks. I think I smell a mod coming on!!

AF Blue, I think your tongue-in-cheek directions just about sum up the plan too! I may just buy a set of those 3" round lamps and experiment. I'll probably also need some round bezels to trim up the cuts.

I'm off to Alaska for a cruise next week so this little project probably won't get under way until well into July. But I'll post later when I have something to report.

I'd like to see one that would re-use the stock fogs and relocate them a little closer to center in the lower grille. Maybe they wouldn't fit? Voted yes, but waiting for someone who knows how to use photoshop...

Good call Dave.
Something similar to this, but just a replacement piece for the stock lower grille. Tomorrow I'm going to have to go measure the fogs vs lower grill opening to see if they'd even fit. BBR:

Any updates on this. I might attempt it soon if I can find the right lights for the grille.

Bumping this back up. Been looking at the Agent 47 upper grill, really like it, it's recessed, non-billet and I can keep the fogs. Problem, no aftermarket lower grill replacements that aren't billet or brake ducts. Anyone making a lower grill replacement yet? I really think something recessed or with fogs would look great, even if it only allowed me to change to a bullitt grill. I'm debating over whether to switch to the GT/CS fascia, but i think I might skip it if there were actually some options with the regular GT fascia. Like the first photochop that AFBlue did.

I'd love to put a bullitt grille on, if there was something like this that looked good I'd definately consider it.

Over 10 months later and no company has jumped on this? Seems like a no brainer to me. There are probably 200,000-300,000 05-08 Mustang GTs out there by now and the billet/honey comb upper grille with no fogs seems to be a very popular look.
