I still cannot decide on a hood stripe...

I am still going around and around in my head about which hood stripe to go with... My Mustang is an '08 in performance white and has a plain flat featureless hood. I never thought it would be so hard to pick the right finishing touch but for me the car looks unfinished with nothing on the hood.

Here is what I have...

These are the choices I am considering...

1. Black Boss 302 stripe

2. Black Mach I style stripe

3. Black U-stripe

4. Black hood scoop

I wonder if anyone has ever noticed that the "U" stripe for the hood was actually inspired by the ones used on the Maverick Grabbers from the mid-1970's?

I think a simple black shaker always goes good...love the foose or Fang hoods with the center spear too. in the pics its hard to judge the photochop on a 2010 with the hood bulge compared to your 05-09hood...

heres a pic of mine the day we painted it - fang/aeroform hood and shaker, with a kinda 70-ish mach1 stripe. my kids had been begging me to put white or silver stripes on mine, but I REALLY love the shakers, and REALLY loved the 69-ish hoods...

I also love the shaker and 69 hood too, though it's all out of my budget. I plan to keep my car at least a few more years until the all new 2015 comes out, so I do not want to waste too much $$$ on mods.

While I was doing these photochops, I also did each style hood stripe showcasing a shaker scoop and they all look good!

Where did you get that hood? Or is it custom?

'foose' has a similar hood in ALUMINUM, they are on ebay once in a while as seconds/paint imperfection rejects for 5-600...probably sold out now

Thanks for the link. I am thinking about going 69 - 70 Mach 1 look on my GT and this hood is perfect

I actually had that look a short while a couple of years ago, but because of my lousy installation skills I took it off because it was crooked and it had a couple of bad spots. It drove me crazy when I looked at it head on and it was too obviously off center to the RH side. I wanted to replace it but I have been putting it off. And now that I have the Boss/Grabber side stripes I want something different to go with it.

Well changing style always makes the same car more intresting everytime you look at it,but if you had that style before you could change the hood to...
