I just got the FR500 wheels in, but I don't want the Cobra center cap that comes with them. Anyone know if there are others that will fit? I don't want to use the stock ones (if they'd even work) since the wheels are black.

Below is the best pic I could get of the way they attach. They have little tabs that hold them in but it doesn't look like you can just push the tabs over and pop it out.

How do the new Pony center caps attach? What about last year's caps?

You can also get ponies, crome w/ blue oval, spun alum w/ ingraved oval, chrome w/ingraved oval, the spinners wont fit, the spokes hit the rim.

I have the V6 Automatic Convertible. I got the Pony spinners through the dealership's parts department for a little over $100 or $120 for a set of four.

I love them!
Like already stated, spinners won't fit, hit the rims.

The 2003-2004 Mach 1 Center caps should fit and they are black. I used my stock caps on my black rims.

Thanks, Brad. I also got the sequentials, thanks to you.

Anyone know how the ponies center caps attach?
Is this just a standard, generic way that most all caps are?
What about size? Same diameter?

Wade, I don't want to use my stock ones because I don't think they'd look good against the black rim. Also, the guy who bought my '65 fastback is probably getting the wheels to put on it and I assume he'll want the centercaps too.

Do you know if any of the ones you mentioned will fit?

Cool. I didn't even click on the pic. I just assumed they were the stock '05 caps.

Here's what I'd like to put on there. This is a pic from my '03. I think they'd be perfect IF they'll fit.

Great! Now I just have to find a set. Maybe eBay. I'd hate to have to buy them from Ford. $$$

we just got back from the big island of Hawaii where there is an "extensive" rental fleet of V-6 verts...all missing the center caps, were they taken as trinkets by renters or did Hertz remove them?

Jason, did you get the center caps that came with the wheels off?
If so... how?

I haven't tried yet. Figure I have a few days since the tires aren't here yet.
I found several 01-04 Bullitt center caps on eBay like I wanted and it looks like they'll fit just fine. Bleow is a pic of the back of one I pulled off eBay and it looks just like the one on my new wheels.
Problem now is I think I'd like a chrome ring around them like the '05 pony caps just break to up the black a little. I'll probably wind up seeing if my '05 "Ford" caps will fit because if they do that means the pony caps will fit.

I pulled out one the cap. It was simple. There's a metal ring that sits inside the clips to keep pressure on them. Slide the ring down and push out the cap.

Now I'm wondering about the thickness of the '05 caps. There's a very thick layer of clear plastic on mine. The '04 or '05 caps would sink down in my wheel compared to these things.

Help! Surely someone has replaced the caps on their aftermarket wheels. If they are Replica wheels with the black centers and the chrome Cobra, they are the same as what I have.

I just found these after-market spinners on the Mustang Tuning web site and it caught my interest. I've been looking at options to replace the stock Cobra center caps in my OE Concepts bullitts.

Oh and they also have spinners with swept spokes:

I'd love to know if these would fit on my wheels.
