Has anyone installed letter emblems or letter decals on their hood?
I'm talking bout the spot where the KR has the shelby letter emblem on the nose of the hood!
If not please post photos of people that have!
Thanks again!

I haven't seen any on the nose of the hood, but have seen an assortment of decals on the side of hood scoops, etc. American Muscle sells the decals for the hood scoops and I imagine various other decal shops would sell "letter" decals as well.

I might have seen one here in the past 2.5 years. I think they putting FORD on the top front of the hood. I couldn't even say who it was though.

From what i have seen people put FORD there because some of the older mustangs had it on the hood. And where do you get leters like that, i need to change mine on the trunk lid.

Whell these letters are for 00-04 Stangs but i guess you can use them anywhere on a flat surface.
The 3d letters though i found them on Mustang Depot here is the link.
It's actually a licensed Ford Product...

If that's your car in your avitar, then I personally wouldn't do anything to that beautiful hood. But, of course it's yours to do what with you want. My .02

i bought the "F-O-R-D" lettering from a 65 mustang. i cut off the pins and test fit them. imo it didn't look so good. i ended up not using them. they are just sitting in my glove box now.

i think your hood looks fine as-is, but if you think the front of your hood looks empty, them maybe some hood pins? the lettering you are considering would not look good imo.

Those would be way too big! I like things to be clean and smooth looking, but if you want to add something, hood pins would do the trick just fine.

Agree with the hood pin comments. If you want the MUSTANG lettering, get it from a place that sells the classic letters -- just like the old Shelby's.

That's what I would do..

+1

It's pretty obvious its a mustang, so to me it's lame. It's like putting mustang on your license plate. Really it is??

Maybe put 281cc or something that isn't so obvious. Good looking car though..

Understood. How about taking some pics of your front end, posting them, then letting the photoshop crowd do their thing?

On one of the other boards, I saw someone that had the "SHELBY" letters across the front bumper. It actually looked pretty good. I know you're asking about the hood, but just thought I'd throw that out there. Now if I could only find the pics.

Here's a link to a company which sells the lettering:

http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/ite...tkey=EMUSTANG#

They are 5/8 high by 7/8 wide.

Here's an idea.. How about cutting masking tape into 5/8 by 7/8 pieces and placing them on the hood where you would like them? This way you'd get a better idea of the placement and spacing. Then take the pictures and post them. This would give the photoshoppers a more realistic template to work with. I'll give it a shot for you too..
