I Was Bored Tonight - soooo

I decided to put my stock grille back in. I haven't had it like this since I got my car striped. I also decided to add the PJ Saleen look to the grille.

I'll run it this way for awhile and then go back to the other grille.

I have a question, are you splicing this at the center bottom?

Your car looks strange with the stock grill back on it. I have gotten so used to the center lights. The center lights really are a unqiue look for the s197s. Not a fan of the door edge moulding. You gonna slap on curb feelers next?!?! hahaha

And what's with the holes in the front fenders?

Didn't dig the molding so it is gone and the side ponies are BACK! Yes I spliced it at the center bottom. Thanks Tom and Chad - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Either way looks good. On a different subject, what are you using to resize your pics? They're really choppy looking.

You get the water spots taken care of?

On a side note, Rich apparantly needs to step up from his 1 megapixel camera! haha If TMS is resizing them on the fly since they are attachments, I can set it up so that you can host them on my server and get nice shots to display.

That molding is available in a 10' roll so you won't have to splice it together. I think it looks better that way. Very retro.

I like the chrome moulding. A friend has a PJ car and it has the chrome on both the front grill and on the back around the taillight housings. I think it looks good IMHO! I'd keep it.

Call me crazy, but I've always liked the look of the stock grill setup. Not that I don't like some of the other ones, but I'm not at all unhappy with the way it looks on your car or mine.

I searched - promise. Can anyone show me a thread on how to remove the grill (V8)? It looks like you MUST break the tabs. I don't see how to avoid it.

If so, how do you remount it?

I used the 10' roll on mine, too. No splice, and I like it. I think the front of my car was just too dark before, now that chrome strip adds just enough sparkle to the front. I really need to wash the car again and get some good pics of it though.

The chrome trim looks good Rich with your wheels. I would do it again but with the continuous piece. Doesn't that fit on the center fog grille too?
