How difficult to paint a carbon fiber hood?
I've been thinking lately about the possibility of an aftermarket hood... Given all the challenges some of the Trufiber GTS2 folks have had I thought maybe a carbon fiber hood would be a viable alternative.
My only thing is that I'm not interested in driving a Mustang with unpainted carbon fiber body parts!
Anyone have any insight on the challenges of painting carbon fiber? Is special prep needed? Would I need to locate a body shop that specializes in carbon fiber?
I found this hood listed on FleaBay from a manufacturer called IPP. I still need to Photoshop it onto my car so I can see if it works for me. On the other hand my challenge with it is that I'm not sure I like the height of the cowl...

If you're interested in a CF hood, you should also take a look at Seibon Hoods. They're mostly known for doing Japanese cars but they have like 6 or 8 hoods for a Mustang and are supposed to be really good quality, although I haven't had experience with them myself.
Just an FYI.
