Hood Opinions

So I'm trying to decide what hood I want more and am finding it impossible my stang is blue with white stripes that are 10inch with a 1.5inch gap. Keep in mind functionality as far as I know the boy racer is partially functional if the vents are left open as well as the shelby. For fully functional the miller and the cali dream are the only options as far as i know. so considering my paint scheme and the options vote which yall like and then tell me why if you dont mind.

wow so yall like the boy racer more then shelby's? i mean the two imo are very similar but i was thinkin that i liked the more rounded features of shelby's fits the car better but it is a really tough choice. I originally didnt like the miller performance one and everytime i look at it i like it more it seems

The Miller Performance ('69 Shelby) is available?! I didn't know that! How much? The Shelby CS6 is not functional unless you cut it out. I've seen it in person, though it may have been a pre-production version. Boy-Racer is cool. Like a modern '68 hood. Too cool, but expensive, from what I've heard. I got a CD hood and love it, but it's not functional unless you have a CAI or some custom air plumbing. Otherwise, you're just introducing dust into the engine compartment.

Really the CD isn't functional really unless you've got custom plumbing? That I didn't know I assumed it was fully functional. And yes the cs6 hood isn't functional unless you cut out wholes in the vents and even then its kinda half *** and ****ty. Is the Miller Performance hood functional does anyone know? And do yall think it would look strange with my striping? I was kinda wondering about that. Also I thought the Boy racer was just as functional as the cs6 which is minimally.

Shelby GT-H Hood

Are the hood pins required? I like the look, even though I would put
the boy racer hood in 2nd place

+1!! They have been floating pictures of that hood around for more than a year but I have yet to know of anyone that has found anything out about purchasing one. Hook us up with some info!

I voted for the boy racer hood. I think it has a nice clean and aggressive look. Similar to the 03/04 Cobra hood.

The saleen hood is very nice but a lot of money just to let the heat out.The 69 hood will let the air in and the heat out for less money.

If money was not a concern I'd go with the dream car factory dcf500gt hood. It can be ordered functional or non functional and has heat extractors in addition to the ram air vents

Buck, what I meant about the CD hood being non-functional without plumbing is that it just dumps air into your engine compartment (and a lot of dust, too) without really doing any good, unless you have a CAI to suck up the cooler air, or some custom ductwork (which no one I know of makes, except maybe Fang) to get the air actually into your engine. I spent what I had on the hood, stripes, spoilers, etc. I haven't had a chance to get a CAI yet, so all I have is a cool, dusty stock air box, and I don't yet consider my CD hood to be functional even though the scoops are "open".

I would DEFINITELY get the Miller hood. Looks cool and appears very functional.
