I just saw this kit. Check out the bottom of the page here.

Has anyone here tried these? Do the high beams still work?

My Saleen HIDs are in the mail and schedule for a mid-January installation. Maybe we can compare the two if someone around here gets the kit in the first post.

When I go to debt counseling I'll remember to mention this post. Has anyone used it? How does it compare to the saleen kit?

The price point is much nicer than the Saleen.

I am still interested in them, 05mustangman what are your thoughts on the quality of the kit?
And thanks for any info you can answer.

I wonder if these could be installed in the Fog Light housings instead?

With the right bulbs, Yes. If you look on Ebay, you can find kits with the correct bulbs to replace the ones in the foglights.

No, that's the difference between this kit and the Saleen. Saleen's works right and is DOT legal. This one (and others like it) disables the high beams and isn't actually street legal.

Not me. Now doing something like this in the fog lights sounds like a reasonable idea, they are optional anyway.
And thank you, P_Kiley, for the info, I would be very dissapointed with that kit if I installed them and THEN found that out. One more reason why I read this forum closely, you guys keep us straight and from making a bad choice.

The high beams do work as they are even brighter than the stock. The quality is excellent and the price i paid was 1,100. I think it was a great investment. I dont have any pics right now because i dont a have camera. it is in storage because we just moved and are waiting for a house to be built. The appearance looks better than the stock lights do.

I forgot. I purchased them from Citrus motors in ontario california. They dont have anymore but your best bet would be to buy them directly from saleen. They take awhile to get them through saleen but well worth the wait.

I have the Saleen HID lights - they are well worth the investment. I was never impressed with the stock headlights - they seemed weak and ill-focused. I am much happier with the Saleen kit.
The high beams work well! Also, you don't lose your "flash to pass" capability. The light itself is pretty white - virtually no "blue" like some other HID kits. If you are looking for the bluish white light you will be disappointed.
I'll warn you up front though - you'll have to disassemble the front clip of the car, remove the front wheels, and the wheel well covers (the front half at least) in order to do the replacement. The Saleen installation manual has an error in it as well - it tells you to hook up the headlights to the drivers side stock headlight plug when in truth it is the passenger side plug. You cap off and abandon the drivers side plug.
Here are some photos of the install:

I ran out of attachment space... here are more pix!
So in a nutshell, here is how the install goes:
1) jack up front end of car, remove wheels (I did mine one at a time)
2) pull wheel well covers
3) pull front fascia (bumper and grille/foglights are a single assembly)
4) remove stock headlights
5) mount ballasts in bucket behind headlights (2 screws in drivers side, 3 in passenger side) You'll need to drill some holes.
6) run wiring harness from power distribution box (need to plug in to main hot wire) behind radiator over to both headlight buckets, zip tie to existing harness. Tap in to passenger stock headlight plug only. Cap off drivers side plug.
7) plug in both ballasts
8) mount new headlight assemblies (after plugging them in of course)
9) replace wheel well covers and front fascia
10) go somewhere level and aim new headlights (vertical only).
You are done! Estimated time, about 2 hours if you are handy. Here are more photos of the install - PM me if you have any questions about it.
