I'm installing one hireman's cool airbrushed rear emblems (fake gas cap) I got the old one off, but the entire tape backing stayed on! Whats the easiest way to get this tape off. I know goo gone will work on the adhesive part, but how do i get that huge tape ring off!!!

 

WD40 should take it off. Can't wait to see your emblem installed!!

 

i tried that....but it doesn't seem to penetrate the tape........i'm afraid to use a scraper

 

If its alot of tape how about a blow dryer or a heat gun?
