Help me pic some wheels
Help me pick some wheels
Most people change their wheels before they do much else to their car. However, that wasn't the case with me. I thought I liked my polished 18's but they just don't do it for me anymore. I need something that fits the character of my car better. I'm not looking to drop a ton of cash on a set of rims, but do want something nice. Also I can't decide what color rim would look best. My favorites at this point are the Shelby Razors, CT-R, and FR500s. Only issue is I think I'd like to go with 20's and the CT-Rs and the FR500s only come in 18's. What do you guys think?

spoiler is no longer on the car.

Have you looked at the Raceline GT's or Shelby Wheels yet? They both look killer, and come in 20"s!!! Check out the pics below. The 1st are raceline GT the other pic are of Carroll Shelby CS67 wheels. I have the 67's and LOVE THEM!!! I get so many compliments on them, as I'm one of only a few Mustangs that have them. Plus for what your looking for, they come in 20" sizes in 3 colors (chrome, black, anthracite), as do the Racelines (chrome, magnesium, and black). Though Razor's are nice also. Its a tough decision with wheels, good luck.
See I like both of those, but when a lot of people did the Cervini's kits on their cars they did the Raceline wheels and I want something different. I like the '67s but I'm not sure they fit the overall look I'm going for on my car. Thanks for the suggestions though.
20" KR's from Shelby should be available soon. I think that those would be a perfect fit.

I like the torque thrust M's too, but what color?
Walt the Alcoa's are out of my price range. Those things are almost $500 a piece.

I like the idea of FR500s in 20"

The CS67 looks ok

We just put Shelby CS66's on the wifes '07 GT/CS Vert, 18" 8.5's on front & 9.5's on the rear.
There are photos of "Show us your wheels" above (Last page)
Very well constructed and very different here in Alabama.
Have not seen another set and people ask all the time what they are.
But the price stops then cold in their tracks.

I personally think 20's are too big for these cars...the only 20's I've seen that I remotely like are the saleens....I think 18s look really good, and 19s would be good for a more uniqe look.....my vote....no 20's
19" option is amazing!
i went from 20" torq thrust m's 20x8.5 and 20x10 to 19" Axis Hiro.
i drive in NYC so 20" was killing me
the car feels so much better! each wheel is at least 5-6 lbs light at each corner. (33lbs vs. 26lbs)
19x8.5 and 19x10.5
Here is another big reason, these Axis Hiro clears BIG BRAKE CALIPERS.
i think most of the 20" wheel options do not unless its designed for GT500 in mind.
i felt 18" is too small and i know 20" are just way too big.

i will post pics of my car very soon with these 19" wheels on..

I know many people haven't suggested these but how about TRMotorsport MT1 rims? They only come in 17 and 18s, but the price for each $320 for an 18 inch rim so they might be out of the reach of what you are looking for. They remind a little bit of the Shelby Alcoa rims but not with the hefty $500 price tag, plus they are ultra lightweight (19 pounds each). I think they would compliment the Tungsten Grey color very well.
