Has Anyone Done This Yet?

Just curious. Has there been anyone out there that tried this mod yet? Thoughts?

It looked kind of neat, I probably wouldn't do it to my car either. How about an option to remove the glass, sort of like the T-Tops? Hmmm...I would like to see the pics of the show car.

Saw this on a couple of cars at a dealership next town over and it looked very good. But if I'm not mistaken it is going to be 4-5K. Almost cheaper to by a convertible if you want to see the sky. I also think Saleen is going to be offering it on some of their cars.

I think there is one or maybe two members here that have done this, but I can't think of who they are.
I've seen it in person on a Saleen, and it looks really good- better than I thought it would. The glass is slightly tinted and has the UV blockers in it so it isn't supposed to get really hot, but who knows how it would work in the southern states.

The Saleen glassback is not the same as the CDC version.
The CDC looks like crap in person! It's got huge textured black plastic pieces that run the entire length of the roof. It looks really tacky in my opinion!

I wasn't sure if the Saleen was the same or not- thanks for the info .

I have one and I love it!
I had one installed on my car when they first came out and I got it for a great price of 3,500 dollars. I checked with Saleen and they said that they would not retro-fit it to other cars and they actually discontinued the option on their cars after 2006. The black molding is not noticable and I have even had to point out to people in car shows that it was even their. The glass is tinted and UV sheilded so the heat build up is minimal even on the hottest days in Florida. It increases the structural integrity of the car and has improved the sound attenuation on the inside of the car. To me it was an all win situation. I have posted pictures for all of you to see. Please tell me what you think!
