I have NEVER understood the "Eleanor' craze. The '67 Shelby had muscular looks and graceful lines, then some movie makes a rolling Frankenstein custom roughly based on one, and just 'cause it's in a movie people accept is as highly desireable?
Those of you that like the Eleanor look be honest, if some no-name company without a movie tie-in released a car with an ugly upside down foot bath on the hood, who would have wanted it? Fortunately (or unfortunately) this is America, and hype rules

This is all about personal preference. If you like the look then buy the car and be happy. I find it hard to beleive someone is going to take it upon themselves to challenge you and convince you that the vehicle you just spent 30k on totally sucks. I am not a gear head by any means so I can't speak to the specific differences between this car and a real Cobra (HP I'm guessing) but its fine if people like it - no?
Personally I don't care for all the stripes and custom bits - I especially don't understand why people install that light bar. I was at my dealer and he had on in the shop they were modding. I said, "Oh cool - that one has a roll bar, that makes sense if you have that much under the hood." He quickly corrected me saying, "Nope, that thing is just for looks - people love it."
For me the light bar ruin's the elegant line of the vert. Like I said, to each his own.

Personal Preference:
Blackout Rear Panel and Stripes on the same Car
do not make me Smile.
Lite Bar, Personal Preference, On the practical side it does offer more protection than Air.
Also, gives more structural strength to the Convert Body. IMO

I don't really like the hood so much. But the rest of it looks pretty darn nice to me.
Of course I've never really understood why people get so uptight about what OTHER people do to their cars. If someone wants to put different badges on the car and paint it to their liking then who cares?
I mean it's not your car so why worry about it?
If the guy was trying to fool a prospective buyer into thinking it was a REAL Shelby then I would understand... otherwise why worry about it?
