GT500 Spoiler is installed!
Finally got the GT500 spoiler back from Lanzini paint, and got it on the car. Looks awesome! The GT spoiler really sucks......it all lined right up with no problems...

No, no drilling. fits right into the pre-existing four holes from the factory. And then uses double sided tape in three sections.
Here is a pic of the factory studs on the Stock GT spoiler that fit in the decklid Same as the GT500 unit:

Bythe way getting the stock spoiler off is a PAIN IN THE A**.

That came out looking good, good job. What do you think about the 3D Carbon Boy Racer on my black GT/CS Convert. do you think it will look good or bad. Here is a picture of the wing.

"Looks Like it Should"
We just ordered one for our Black GT/CS vert. We think they should have come this way like in 68, some of us are old enough to remember that. Any install issues?
Thanks, John

I just added mine too! I would post pics, but mine looks just like yours. LOL. It was easy to put on and it sure looks a heck of a lot better than the stock spoiler.

Is Sirius Antenna a problem?
Fast 351.. beautiful job, and great photos, which prompt my question.
I have been looking at replacing my wing with the 500 spoiler, but Ford put the Sirius antenna on the trunk lid. I am curious if the antenna will prevent the 500 spoiler from seating since it appears to be more forward then the stock wing.
I would appreciate it if you would measure the distance from the bottom of the 500 wing (center) to the back of the trunk lid. I hate to spend the money and then find it won't work.
Thanks in advance.

Iowa, first of all patience will get you a long way. Now that I have went through the expierience, if you rush it and the spoiler flips off unexpectedly when the glue lets go you will also be into it for a repainted decklid. The spoiler studs will roll right accross your paint if not careful. But any way use something like a razor blade VERY CAREFULLY between the spoiler and the decklid just to easily loosen the the first edge of the double sided tape. This will then allow you to push up slightly on the edge of the spoiler, while you get a long thin putty knife into the groove. You then just very easily push forward to seperate the glue. Once I got the hang of it, it took me maybe 10 minutes per side going very slowly. You just want to make sure the putty knife doesn't hit the paint on the decklid. As more and more of the double sided tape lets go the easier it will be to get the putty knife in and seperate the glue. But I will say it again: GO SLOW AND BE PATIENT it will come off with no problems, but it is a pain in the a**. Oh, one other thing dont try to strong arm the spoiler off with too much pressure, because you will dent the decklid!!!! The spoiler tape IS that strong!!
And CALSPCL the distance from the edge of the decklid ( by the window) to the front edge of the spoiler is exactly 9 3/4.

looks great...and thanks for the Sirius exchange...I think the GT500 wing looks great, getting a jones for it but was wondering the same thing...now can have my Sirius and wing it too!....
p.s. -> the boy racer wing should have an NFW rating - No Flippin' Way....but, your money, your choice...

Not on my baby! To each his own, but these are generally reserved for underachievers, not stangs!
