GT500 Fogs (Not so good)

Just got the GT500 conversion done. It looks great but I do have one complaint. The Fogs really suck. I guess they are just for looks because they do almost nothing as far as lighting up the road. I've seen children night lights brighter than these fogs. KC, any solution for this yet?

Buy HIDs for the headlights, then you won't need the fogs.

Car looks great BTW

Car looks good!

Great looking car!

About the fogs, I must admit I haven't checked them out carefully myself. I have the GT 500 front (and rear) fascia. I'll give a look myself. Unfortunately, you can't just drop in Sylvania Silverstars like a lot of us did in the stock fogs. That was an improvement.

Yeah, I had the Silverstars too. I miss them. It's worth the tradeoff though.

I kinda have to disagree...I think the foglamps do give a little bit more extra lighting. When I turn me on, I can actually tell when they are on because they give a little bit more corner lighting to me and makes the road in front of me a little bit brighter which is great for when I'm travelling down back roads and don't want to use my high beams, I just flip on the fogs and they give a little more visibility. I just wished there were SilverStars available (for a whiter look) and that Ford didn't go with the lame PS24W bulbs that no one seems interested in making an aftermarket bulb for.

I have no comment on the subject at hand but I wanted to compliment you on the car. Spoiler delete + Parchment interior + Shelby front end + 19" Drift R's = Awesome!

Thanks for the compliments. It actually began life with a spoiler. I removed and filled the holes.

Here is a pic from the rear:

Yeah, I also removed mine and I'm about to have the holes filled. I've thought about pulling off the GT badge and having that filled, too, like you did. It looks plain to me just bare but the black paint you used makes it work.

The cheapest estimate I got for just the trunk holes was $450. Most other's were around $700-$800. I'll probably keep the fake gas cap as is.

They charged me $560 to fill all my holes and paint. They re-cleared the whole rear end of the car too. No a bad deal I guess.
