My car even used to be a Hertz rental so I have the certificate of self insurance from Hertz. I would never tell any one it was a GT-H and if they asked or commented I would quickly tell them that is was a V6 and not a GT-H. I could never afford the $50K to $60K for a real GT-H but I can make my car look the way I want. my 2 cents.
I see your point and I wouldn't either, but I'm not misbadging, no where am I putting that I have anything other then a v6. And if anyone asks me that's what I tell them. Also gt-h is identified by much more then its front bumper and so are most of the special edition cars as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone notice how single digit post newbies join the forum to stand up against the "tyranny of their perceived misbadged or mis-matched OEM parts vs models on Mustangs?"

Meanwhile, they march to the beat of the same drum, pop into the forum to correct those who didn't ask, nor care for their ungrounded accusations or degradation of personal choice.

In essence, derailing threads from the original matter at hand. I'm so sick of these Mopar Muffins.

All you were saying was that you got a good deal on a front bumper. You never once said you were building a replica of any sort or adding any kind of fender badges. People assume ****.

Have you even viewed the whole thread or viewed other threads on people who get bent out of shape on the subject of GT parts on V6s?

Look at the first reply to the original post. Somehow the original thread evoked someone enough to say that "GT owners will be upset by the OPs choice to upgrade his car with a new bumper." Inbetween coherent and relative posts to the subject, the undertone lies and a faulty generalization has been formed.

No offense but you can act like a victim and leave or you can accept what you previously wrote. I don't mind being the old goat that bucks the troll off the bridge but seriously, you are very aware of the hidden implications of what you wrote.

Meanwhile, these 99-04 S281s were purchased directly from Ford by Saleen inc. in order to modify. In fact, all Saleen Mustangs begin life as a GT.

Except the S351 in the 99-04 era.....They started life as a V6! (Because of their initial price point and the fact that the engine would be pulled anyway.) lol

I'm done ranting. Btw post some pics when you get everything on!

I think the pillar blackouts look great on a white GT with fogs. I could be a bit biased though.

I'd go with the heritage bumper you were looking at. I'm sure others can chime in here too. Lots of choices there.
