Since my car is down for awhile until the motor gets back I started thinking of ideas to change the exterior again. I decided on "blacking out" the car and heres the start. Black billet grille w/out fogs-I am still waiting on the Steeda bumper to be released and when it does that is going on too so that I will still have fogs in the bumper.

Thanks for the compliments. There are more changes-actually sold the Iforged wheels and have new 3 piece wheels but this time in black to go with the whole black out theme. Also no more steeda spoiler and instead 3d carbon ducktail. More than anything I just want to drive it though-the motor has been out for almost 2 months now and im goin nuts
Heres a pic of the wheels

BTW forgot to say where the grille is from. Go to Bashperformance.com and on the homepage there is a black Roush for sale. It has a black billet grille which is what I was looking for for months. called them up and asked if they sold those and they said they can do it no problem-just have to wait for paint. 2 weeks later this is what I have.

Ah, the new wheels look incredible as well, good to see you didnt downgrade from the aero's before. Again, looks sick, make sure you post pics when you get the body all wrapped up with the ducktail etc.

LOL im glad I got a "thats nice" from someones wife instead of the "how much did that cost" from mine. These wheels are actually different ones altogether since it was actually cheaper to sell the old ones and get these instead of getting them powdercoated. thanks once again for the compliments guys.

Going back to the grille, how much did they charge you for it?

My wife sounds like yours "it cost how much?" ! The worst part of all, is that I am going to have to buy her wheels for her expedition soon so I can continue buying parts for mine.

Like my dad once said, "son if she is not happy, then you are not happy".

Heres the link to the grille-you would need to call them though if you wanted it black. http://www.bashperformance.com/cart/produc..._code=BPR2645UG

I had to pay tax since im in Fl so it was around 280 something. As far as mounting, it has 4 mounting tabs that you attach with screws into the bumper itself. Seems very sturdy but I have not taken it out for the daily drive test until the car is running again.
05 1947-- im already ahead of you-just bought the other half rims for her explorer so I could continue modding- o yea and remodeling the house as well.....AND I am only engaged, not even married. sheesh

I think if you black out your turn signal lens the look would be killer! Simply use a little blk base mixed with straight clear, (usual prep necessary) and you get a translucent effect. Similar to window tint. Try this on your stock yellow lenses, (see my pics in thread "blacked out yellows and reds") to gauge effect. The light still reflects/emits with no trouble, even in bright daylight. Your car as is looks super!

I think I might go with the Cervini billet grille and pony and then have it powder coated black?

That would look nice too... I would think you need to remove the pony emblem before you powder coat it... also, isn't BBR's a little cheaper than Cervinis? And it doesn't have the pony, just the grill... Something to look into it

Car is looking good there! I would also swap the GT badges for ones painted black and do something to the part on the trunk

Thats the steeda cowl hood right....is it possible for you to tell me how tall the actual cowl part is. Just on the side from the top of the hood part to the top of the cowl part. I am wondering if it sticks up much higher than a CDC ducktail from a side view.
