I read somewere in a forum that if you remove the GT emblems from the fenders of a '05 or later mustang there are two small holes that must be filled or covered with another emblem. Is this true? I was thinking of removing them but won't if that is in fact true. Does the same thing apply to the faux gas cap on the trunk?

If it's not true, what is the best way to remove them?

 

There are 2 holes behind the GT emblems on the side.

Funny enough I took mine off today. The way they stamp the panels, you need someone very good with bodywork to get rid of them completely.

 

or find a V6 without the pony package you can swap fenders with!

 

05 fenders for the V6 do not have any mounting holes.

 

i have a pic of the side emblem removed some where, but i cant find it. anyways, here is one of my rear fake gas cap removed.

 

I was wondering if anybody removed the GT fender emblems and replaced them with fender turn signals (similar to BMW).

(Before, anybody gets in an uproar as to why I would do this, I used to live overseas and the requirement was amber rear turn signals and side turn markers. I just want to get a jump on making my Pony internationally compliant).

 

I've seen a few of our European brothers do it.
