GT/CS Painted Brake Calipers

Hey I'm interested in painting my brake calipers on my white GT/CS.
Show me some pictures of how yours painted calipers look and the best way to paint them.
Also some paint recommendations would be good.

Thanks

I have some pictures with my calipers painted red to give you an idea. I used the G2 2-part epoxy paint. Painted by hand. Just took my time......

I want you to know nm3, I'm jealous of those razors-wheels......Absolutely, the sickest wheels for a mustang. I've got the same vehicle and on down the road, I want those same wheels, remove the black cs/gt stripes and go with the shelby gt's silver lemans stripes. (I would add a matching silver cs/gt stripe down low on the rocker panels.)

Anyway, love your car!

The red calipers look very good with the car and your right, just enough red.
However with my car being WHITE I thinking the complete caliper will need to be painted.

Anyone feel any different on the amount of the calipher to paint red with a white car?

I ordered some G2 2-part epoxy paint so I will be ready to paint in the near future.

Thanks for all your help.

Moved to exterior mods section since this is not a mod specific to the GT/CS. You will find that there are also other topics regarding which paint people use, how it holds up, etc.

Here is what you want to use. Make sure you do about 4 coats per caliper

Yes there certainly is. Put the car up and jackstand and start at one wheel apply teh first coat move the the next and keep going around until you have the 4 coats. Looking in the jar of paint you will think there is no way but it goes on very well.

My wife doesn't think that red calipers will look good with my white GT/CS with black stripes.
What do you all think of painting them red?

Hey Kenny, my customer, who's 2009 GT/CS just arrived, chose to go with the Blue G2 kit. He's in his late 60's, and I offered to paint the calipers for him (when's the last time a salesperson helped a customer mod their new Mustang), since I've done it before. Car is on the lift at work with the wheels off as I type. Shop is closed Saturday for holiday weekend, but sales is open for a few hours. I'll be painting them as soon as I am done work (Noon) Saturday. I'll take some pics on Monday, after the paint has hardened.
