GT/CS front fascia with street scene fogs PICS

hi there..
i wanted to know if anyone can post a pic of this setup either if you have a true GT/CS or you modded the front fascia.

if your car is lowered with 20's, that would be great also!

thanks!

redbullet, you have one of the nicest looking S197's I've seen yet. It's not the direction I went with my car but, had I gone a different route it might very well have been similar to yours. Great work. Love the hood, the grille and grille trim, the stripes, the front fascia, the color, and your CT-R wheels look great on it as well. Well done my friend, well done.

I don't know if you've mentioned it before, but what did you use to make the bullitt style trim for the grill opening? I love your car. You definitely have one of the best and most unique S197's (while remaining tasteful) that I have seen. And that trim completely ties it all together.

The grill surround is part of the Cervini kit and I trimmed it to fit the SS grill since it is made to fit the stock grill.

The silver is just paint until I can find something to use to make a chrome metal trim piece.

The same Mach 1 scoop. The Cervini's scoop curled up at the back and wouldn't lay flat like it was supposed to.

So, I bought a repo from Dynacorn made from fiberglass and will trim that one to match the curve of the hood and then paint it.

It has turn signals in the rear of the scoop, like the original, and I'm going to mount a small LED bulb in the back of the scoop to show through the grill of the scoop when the lights are on. Just a small single bulb, not too much light.

To be honest, since the scoop has been off, I kinda like it better w/o the scoop, but since the hood has holes in it to fit the turn signals, the scoop has to go back on.

Well honestly, the first few times I looked at your pics I didn't even really notices the scoop. I think the scoop looks good, but I think it looks equally as good, if not better without it. However, if they could make a better look Boss 429 scoop that would be my choice. Not sure if you like that scoop or not, but it's one of my favorites.

Redbullet,

Did your Cervini kit come with black inserts that go inside the grille? I've seen some customer pix with black areas inside the grille and some without it.

White one below has it and grabber orange doesn't.

I didn't know if these areas were painted black or whether there were black inserts that come with the kit.

Both cars have the inserts. The orange one is just painted one color and they didn't fit it well at all.

The kit comes with the extensions for the headlights and a piece that connects the two in front of the grill. The pieces are made for the stock grill and come with a cutout overlay to trim the center piece for the driving lights.

The overlay DOES NOT fit the SS grill so any trimming is by trial and error. All three parts had to be trimmed extensively to fit the SS grill because the grill extends about an inch further forward.

I had my inset painted black to match the stripe and then the silver in the area that chrome trim would have gone, in the day.
