Question Group Buy - Shelby Front End Conversion - POLL

Okay - So I'm not really organizing a Group-Buy on these front end conversions but would like to gather the data points for someone who may be able to coordinate such an effort (KC are you listening???)

Yes you are interested
No you are not interested

If your answer would be a MAYBE depending on price - well - you should mark down a YES because the more people that are interested, the price just gets better and better.

In all honesty, the shelby front end doesn't look as nice as the GT. Gotta have 4 headlights just like on my 69!

Voted no. I'm not flaming the people who have done this but mine is a GT not a Shelby, but I might be interested in the hood.

like the front end and everything but it all comes down to Saleen if they can get their PJ bumper up and running it might make it easier for people with already $1100+ Saleen HID's and keep the 4 headlight design...plus would give room for brake coolers or added cold air induction and would not mean so much smaller parts needed like new brackets and wiring harnesses {{given you do not want the fogs on the bumper if you want them on the bumper then from what i have heard you will need the harness and cobra fogs and brackets}}

Depending on price, I love the shelby front, but $2k is a lot of money for a front conversion, especially when I think of 2k invested in forced induction.

I wish KC would chime in on this thread.. Certainly there's enough interest in this mod...

I like the Saleen PJ also - heck my car is pretty much there already but this GT500 is one totally cool look all to itself...

Thanks guys..

I like the GT nose far better than the GT500. Swapping a GT500 front on a GT is a waste. It is kinda like the so called "clones" of the 60s which are nothing more than fakes.

It's all good tho... to each his own man.... I personally went in to look into buying a shelby gt500.... i was not interested in the H.P. just the overall look! I loved it! It is something different.... however that is when i learned of all the "hype" and you won't get one stuff.... Walked out after a few weeks with a v6!!! (the car was put thru my dealers race shop out here) Ford racing suspention lowered the car 1.5"
Ford racing 18" wheels.... duel exhaust, etc, etc.... After driving the GT i was more impressed with the handling of this particular v6! Thats when i hooked up with all you fine folks here on TMS and learned or KC and this front and rear conversion! In the end, i will wind up with exactly what i wanted to start with.... the overall apearance of the gt500 and the ability to actually use it!! Instaed of collect it for about a third of the pricetag!! Like i said to each his own... I personally love Oaklacop's car, tell me it does not turn heads 360 when he drives by as opposed to a stock v-6 or stock GT! Just my 2C....
