Just in the process of doing my conversion. How did you handle the lamp wiring assembly? Did you use the entire wiring assembly or just spice the wires and connectors, replacing them on the GT fog lamp wiring? You help would be appreciated as the wiring assembly 7R3Z14290EA seems to have a connector and additional fuse pod and is reported not to fit the GT fuse box. Looking for help with my retrofit.

Thanks

I gotta agree with everyone else RJ, that looks FANTASTIC, front and rear. I read a bunch of posts about our stock hoods not lining up with the shape of the GT500's front bumper but judging by your pics, it's all bunk.....looks just fine. Nice job !!!!!

Lenko, I too am about to start the conversion.... Just waiting on the front bumper cover backorder to fill..... K/C and others here have told me you would have to splice the new conectors onto your existing GT fog harness....

Thanks for your quick reply. I thought I might have to do that. It would have been nice to install the whole wiring assembly as its kinda expensive, $ 52.60 for a couple of connectors. Oh well, it could have been worse - like not being able to do the conversion.

You dont even need the gt500 harness. Just take the connectors off the fog lights and put on a new connector or just plug in the pins (the pins fit on the new fogs quite nicely)

If i am not mistaken, K/C said this was the only way to go about it right now as the connectors are not available seperately as of yet......

Sometimes when you are doing custom work. You will need to make something work better or more efficently than the factory. Sure you can buy the connector and cut your factory wires. Or you can take the pins out of the connector and find a better way to do it. Then if you want to go back to factory, you can just plug the pins back into the old connectors.

rjuice, is there enough slack in the factory fog wiring to reach? I haven't hooked mine up yet but it sure would save some soddering (misspelles) and what not.

Looks like your front bumper cover and mine must be in limbo as I haven't received it yet. ETA for mine is about the middle of the month. I'm probably going to go with the GT emblem on the front driver's side and might use a silver 350 applique on the fenders under the GT. Planning to have about 350 hp (flywheel). May go with just the pins on the fog harness -we'll see.

Jesse

There is enough slack just undo some of the christmas tree push clips.
We also relocated the horn. To get it out of the grill.

Rj.... I would love to see a pic of your horn relocation if it's not too much trouble, K/C said my Front bumper has been shipped yesterday, so i think i'm going to trial fit my hood today..... bumper should be here any day now.....

Did you relocate the horn so you do not see it thru the grill? Is that what you mean? Also as far as the pins go, sounds like a good idea, however what did you use for the harness connector? I read they were different (shelby fogs vs GT fog connectors) please explain, Thanks! this info will be quite useful soon!
