Couldn't agree with you more. I also had a 1970 Grabber Blue Mach 1 (428CJ). What a beast that was.

Thanks for all the quick replies everyone!
Color and all, that's my all-time favorite Stang. And you had one.

May I worship you? :worship:

Hmm...Titanium...

No worship

Yeah, I owned it for a couple of years. Tough car to handle. Four speed, no power steering or power brakes. Drums all around. Very front heavy as I'm sure you know. Came with a blue (yuck) interior which I changed to black. What a job that was, hard to believe how many pieces of blue have to be changed.

Sold it when I bought a Boss 302......

Heh, I think the less-than-stellar handling is one of the charms with older Ponies.

Hey Doug.... I think Competition Orange was a color on the '93 Cobra... not to rain on your parade for having a one-year color.

i've said it once, and i'll say it again:
Ford has to bring back all of the Grabber Colors!!!
Grabber Blue
Grabber Orange
Grabber Green
Grabber Yellow
Calypso Corral
i could live without Grabber Lime and Grabber Green Metallic though
You aimed that squarely at me, didn't you?! [/b][/quote]

According to the yellowmustangregistry, 1993 Cobras came in 3 colors ...
Black, Red, & Teal. The "Red" color caried over into 1994-95 and was called Vibrant Red (code ES). It is kind of an orangy-red, but not quite as orange as Competition Orange (code CY).

Competition Orange was also available in the early '70s and is the same as 1969 Calypso Coral (my '69 Mustang in my garage is a pretty close match). It was also called Poppy Red in the mid 60's and was available on '64.5 & '65 Mustangs.

I regularly see current Ford Trucks and Vans painted this color on the road, so I don't think it has ever left the truck fleet color chart. Where ... I might add ... this color orginally game from as well as many (if not all) of the Grabber colors from the early 70's.

There were only 3 colors for the 93 Cobra Black, Teal & Red ( there is said to be two shades of red, nothing offical)

Don't forget 1996 Tangerine! ..

I was 10 minutes from buying a fully loaded Comp Orange 04, pulled out because it didn't feel right. Now I know why. '06 is coming ... soon

The Titanium is the same color as the origianl proto released a year or so ago at the show. Thats the siver I really want but I went with the satin instead. If I was gonna wait I might as well wait for the one that said SHELBY on it

Charles, that color list isn't official. The official color list should be coming out in a few months.
Yep. Brad posted on another thread that the original name of the color was going to be Titanium, now they are calling it Tungsten Silver, just like the Ford GT.

One quick question to whomever can answer it. IF Ford does offer these colrs on this list, why, Oh why have Tungsten Silver and Sterling Silver offered in the same MY? It would make more sense to offer Tungsten Silver and Mineral Gray. Unless, Tungsten Silver is so dark that it appears gray. Anyone?

sorry no orange
GeezOhMan, I'm actually comtemplating going with white and having it painted Vanencia Orange. I have a '97 Tbird that is Mustang Electric Green Metallic now.

"I have a paint fettish and I'm not afraid to use it!"

To quote the very young sales rep who watched me walk out after picking up the sales brochure for the 2000 Muzzy and showing him the color I was going to paint my Tbird, he said, "darn! That's a lot of color, 'Bro!"

forget the idea of a new California Special, I think Ford should revive the Grabber Special from '70 which includes every Grabber color as well as the cool semi-boss302 stripes!

what color orang is that on the saleen that was debued in SEMA
If it is one of Saleen's options, I would say Beryllium. Don't hold me to it, though. This is the only conclusion I come to after viewing the s281 specifications on both the 3-valve and s/c.
