Went with the 18 x 9" Cobra "Detroit Silver Bullit" in the 5-114 offset. I had the choice between solid chrome or the graphite center spokes with the machined/polished lip. I went the graphite route because they look a bit more retro and actually go with the black GT very well.

For tires I went with the 255x45 ZR 18's

I like the setup - with the cavaet that I'm getting used to the outer edge of the rear tires being flush with the edge of the rear fenders......more out than the stock set up.

I'll post pics soon.

anxious to see the pics. What is the offset? You statement above is the bolt pattern, not the offset.

I'll get better pics tomorrow in the daylight.....how small do we need to make the pics to save - the smaller I save them - the less clear they are?

thx

Note in the pic above where the rim hub sits on the rotor and how I need to paint that so the silver doesn't show - also the calipers - I'll post after I have them painted!!

Looks good from that small pic. You can post pics up to 200k. Just resize them (in image viewer in windows etc.) until they are just under 200k. You should be able to get them to still be pretty large.

Thanks all - will post more pics tomorrow - I promise!! I just finished painting the front calipers/hubs and will paint the rears tomorrow evening.

I purchased the rims and tires at Flip's Tire in Van Nuys, CA for $1525.00 out the door. That includes a $300.00 credit for the stock rims/tires. If you are in the area - ask for Dave - I've been dealing with him for the past 6 years and he's a straight up guy!

FYI - if you want the chrome version - they run an additional $300.00 - still a good deal IMHO.

Those are ContiSportContacts 255/45 ZR 18's. I went with that size to best approximate the original wheel/tire diameter so the speedo would still be right. Was a bit surprised at the limited tire selection in that particular size.....have not been a big Continental Tire fan in the past - but he guarenteed I could return them if I didn't like them.....they actually feel pretty good so far.

It's amazing what the difference in appearance is when the rim is flush with the fender.

Well done Hotlap, gives the car a tougher look, for sure.
