Hey I was wondering if at this point anyone know or have tried to install the 06 pony grill with corral on a 2005 gt? I don't mean the bottom grill, just the top to get the pony corraled. I want to corral my '05 so bad, and have gotten little on this.

Second i still have the pinging engine and clunky tranny, anyone get theirs fixed thru the dealer?

Do you guys know if I can take the 235/55/17 stock Pirelli and swap it for a tire of the size 255/60/17? I found one I like and am aware the speedo will be off, but is that an ok swap or will I found trouble?

Anybody know how to get their cruise control switches mounted on the steering wheel to control the radio? I read somewhere you can do this, but don't remember how you can and if you can do it?

Webelectronics makes a coral for the GT. Looks really good.

You can put 255's on the stock rims. Just try to find a tire that has an overall diameter of 27", that way your speedo won't be off.

Check out the issues section regarding the pinging engine and clunky tranny.

You really should post questions regarding different topics separately in the proper subforums. You will get a better response to each question that way.

Is it easy for them to recalibrate the speedo?

Thanks for the grill, it's just what I was looking for it's like the pony package for a GT!! I bought one today.

So anyone find anything on controlling the radio via cruise control?

Ford diagnostic equipment only allows for the three tire sizes installed from the factory, which are...

215/65 R16
235/55 ZR17
235/50 ZR18

Maybe a tuner chip has this functionality?

I don't know for sure about that specific tire, but my service tech just yesterday recalibrated my 05' GT for my new 255/45 18s, which are not factory size. And, before you ask, yes, I watched the procedure and sure enough my size was listed. All he had to do was download updated info from the Ford website.

I'm sure the SCT tune will do it for recalibration. But my main concern is that the 29" diameter will fit the wheel well and not rub anything!!! It's +2 inches in dimaeter.

The only probblem I see with these tires is their speed rating: SR means a max. speed of 112 mph only! Are you sure you want them?

Yes! I want the raised white letters and I don't plan on going over 112 or 115 MPH lol. The most I've ever gone was 110 racing a GTO on an empty freeway at 3 AM :-)

I'm also in the market for RWL tires (like so many other Mustang owners), but so far there's nothing available with V, W or Y ratings. I'm too close to Germany and the temptation to drive 130+ mph is too big when I'm on the Autobahn.
For now I've settled with the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires, probably the best in the rain (of which we have plenty here :notnice: ).

P.S.: whoohoo, 300 posts!
