I am looking to add a chin spoiler. I know that CDC has 2 available, which I like. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any others that are on the market. Thanks

Thanks, I should have listed that one as well. I personally don't like it.

Also, has anyone lowered there car with a chin spoiler? I want to do both.

I have the CDC Classic Chin Spoiler and it's no lower than the outside of the OEM facia. If you click on "05YellowGT" to the left , then scroll down and click on "Gallery" then click on "Images Posted in Forum" you'll see some pictures ...

Really! I did a search and found a person who installed one and said it lowered the front from roughly 8 inches to 6 1/2. That's great news if true! The CDC classic is the one I was leaning towards anyways.

It is only lower by the thickness of the material , maybe 1/8". The bottom of the spoiler is flush against the bottom of the outside edges on the OEM facia. It is lower in the middle where the gap on the OEM facia is and maybe that's what they meant. Most of the things I worry about hitting with it , like high side walks when parking , would hit the outside edges on the OEM facia too ...

So you lose maybe an 1/8" of ground clearance with the chin spolier? I measured the lowest part of the OEM bumper and it was ~8 1/8" from the ground. Did you by chance happen to measure the ground clearance with the spoiler on?

I have the classic also and it lowers the front by 2 and 1/2 inches. It is only the thickness of the material at the sides. Anyone who sticks their head under the car can measure and see the classic hangs down 2.5 inches..

I like this one. Not too big, more retro looking, and I like the way it creates a second opening below the factory facia.Team Shinoda $255, no shipping!

From what 05Yellow stated, at the lowest point on the stock bumper it's just the the thickness of the urethane.

What's the best place to order one, Partshopper?

The Team Shinoda hasn't quite shipped yet, I've had one on order for a couple months. Supposedly it'll be here real soon, and when it gets here, I'll take pics and measurements to see how well it'll clear stuff.

max2000jp,
I saw mustangshadow's car in person this past week-end, he has the CDC classic on his. It is NO more than 1/4" lower than the bottom of the facia. It does look lower, some kind of optical illusion, but it's not. I layed on the ground and looked at the way it is attached and verified that it is almost the same height as stock. I am thinking of putting it on mine and was worried about how low it looked, now I'm not at all.
Here is a pic of shadows very nice black stang

Thise are the 3DCarbon louvers on mustangshadow's car, right?

On subject, I am sold on the classic CDC chin spoiler. The Steeda one, although I like the look, is just too low. The CDC one isn't really much lower than stock, but makes the front look lower and longer.

:bang: If you take a tape mesure and put it to the bottom of the front bumper and measure to the ground you will get 8.5 inches....now measure from the bottom of the front of the chin spoiler and it is 6 inches to ground. It is not an optical illusion.. :bang: ...it hangs 2.5 inches lower. Simple. It is only the thickness of the material at the sides of the front of the car...

So we are getting conflicting measurements. I think both of you are saying the same thing. The middle is lower, but the side portions of the bumper are only lower by the thickness of the material.

If you are getting a black one, Ninosport is selling painted and unpainted versions for the same price ($219 I think - plus the TMS discount).

Ninosport only has black ones as far as paint goes. So if you want a body color (red) than you will have to get someone else to paint it.

On a side note (and I hate to jinx it) but I am surprised Jack Frost has not joined this thread to say how much he hates chins.

I had to chime in sometime. I love the look of the CDC chin spoiler. I have had no problems with scraping etc. You just want to be carefull with what I like to call those KILLER speed bumps you know the ones that are higher than normal. Other than that no probs.
here are some other pics.
and thanks for the comments mustp51

and one unpainted
