Don't forget a lot of that extra weight has to do with the fact that it's a bigger wheel. 18x9's compared to 17x8's. That's a lot of extra metal.
In theory this is true. However, go to tire racks site and look at all the 18 inch wheels available for the 05+ and notice there are alot of $160 - $210 each 18 inch wheels that are in the 23-24lb range. This is an average weight for 18x9 - not 30lbs.

Heck, their is one available that is 18x10 and is only 19lbs! Lighter than the stock 17x8! It is offcourse $500 per wheel but....

Ok. Here'a a couple of quick pics. Sorry they are so bad. It's hard to get a good pic of a white car with black rims when the sun is so bright.

These are the only other decent pics I took yesterday. I'm not real happy with the +36mm offset, but I didn't have any choice. These were the only black rims I could find in 18x9 that I liked. I just washed the car tonight so hopefully I can take some more pictures tomorow.

On a side note, I had to remove the hub(?) dust caps to be able to put on the front center caps. The dust caps stick out to the edge of the wheel so there wouldn't have been any way to put a center cap on the wheel without removing it.

We were talking about weight earlier and I just noticed CrossRoadzDirect has them listed at 20 lbs each. It's probably a misprint, but now I wish I would have weighed them.

I like the offset, looks good. Tire is still under the fender welll, not 'bulldog' sticking out, and they aren't tucked way in like the stock bullits are.
