Just got off the phone with a guy from http://www.mustangtuning.com/ and he said the company that makes the replica FR500 wheels for them will also be making them for the '05. He said they were planning on having them by the end of this month, but now it looks like it'll be a little longer.
He also said they would be offering them in the same colors. Silver, black, anthracite, & chrome.

Chrome Deep Dish Bullitt Wheels (18x10) are pretty cool.

Oh snap, those black ones might look pretty sweet on a black Mustang, ala the 1987 Buick Grand National GNX (similar style).

I think Topnotch did a chop of an '05 with the FR500 style wheels. That would definitely be something I would look at getting.

Yes, those are the same ones Mustang Tuning is selling. They're for the "old" Mustangs. There aren't any out yet for the '05. Not yet anyway.

I just emailed wheelreplicas.com since they also sell the same wheels.
Hopefully I'll hear back soon.

I think the FR500 are sweet, BUT will they be boat anchors.
The ones in FORD Racing Parts are listed to weigh 30lbs.
Which these are to heavy already.

Wheelreplicas.com just emailed me and said no on the FR500 wheels for the '05.
Emailed MustangTuning. Waiting to hear back.
I knew it was too good to be true.

Heard back from MustangTuning.
They said if WheelReplicas said there wouldn't be any then there won't because that's who they get their wheels from.

All is not lost though. Remember these are the replicas.
We still have a slim chance FRPP may come out with some.

I think the Cobra Mules that are running around look like they have FR500 wheels. Look at the Autoweek red one or the Black one Amy took a picture of. Maybe that will be the standard Cobra wheel.

You know I am dreaming of a deep dish BUT, all of you that have put new wheels on your mustang already know that you are not going very deep on this model because of the offset that you need to keep the tire under the fenders. The best I could find was a chrome lip for mine. No matter who makes them they can only be so deep unless the spokes curve inward to make it look like a deep dish. I just didn't like the looks of those.

I e-mailed Wheel Replicas to find out if they were planning on a 10.5" Bullit wheel for the '05 and they replied "Not Planned".

Just went to the link. Great looking wheels. Will the 18x10s Bullit fit on the rear of the 05. Would like to put on some 285/40 or larger tires. What do you think.

Maybe we're just a little impatient? I know that I am. I haven't even ordered my '05 yet, (waiting for the Pony Drive PIN #), and the lack of variety in aftermarket '05 wheels, etc., is driving me nuts! I want a wide selection NOW, but I'm S.O.L., just like most of the rest of you. Think, though. This has got to be the toughest, most popular model ever of the most-modded car ever. The aftermarket industry for the Mustang alone is huge! Look at all of the hoodscoops available for the '04! As much as I hate to admit it, we need to give the industry time to catch up. They will make wheels for us. I would think that in another year, we will have lots of goodies to pick from. Too bad that doesn't make waiting any easier... I gotta spend less time on this site so I can think about something else for a change.
