Ford Racing Cam Cover Decals

I thought I would post this for anyone one wants to do alittle dress up on your painted cam covers. I ordered a set and can't tell you the quality because I haven't gotten them yet. The vendor told me that he has a set on his car that is blown and drag races. My concern was with the heat in the engine bay might destroy them in a very short time. Hey I'm just here to help a brother out and don't know anything about the vendor. Purchase at your own risk.

Interesting. They definitely look nice, but like you said, the question is going to be whether or not they withstand the heat.

I got the decals tonight and they appear to be good quality. It will be alittle while before I have a chance to put them on.

These are vinyl transfer so good stuff. Here's a picture of the one I put on yesterday. Pretty hard to do when the cover is on the car.

Is it just me....or are the decals on your car bigger than the ones advertised on Ebay? Yours look to be twice as big?

I don't think they are any bigger. You only seeing part of the cam cover instead of the whole thing.

You're right, it's just the angle. In both cases, the Ford oval width matches the distance between two of the curved bumps at the top edge of the valve cover.

I've got some "Powered by Ford" silver and blue restoration type decals on mine, and they've lasted great. Been on almost two years with no signs of peeling yet. I actually wish that I had went with some Holman and Moody Competition Proven decals instead though.

Wow, that is funny, that vendor is using my pictures form when I painted my valve covers.

http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTo/ValveCover.htm

I opainted my valve covers back in 2006 and I don't drive the car much. I only have 12K miles on the car since July of 2005. The Paint o the valve covers is flaking really bad and I am going to have to redi them but the decals still look great. I did apply several quotes of clear engine paint over the decals and the valve covers.

I only paid $11.60 for both decals including shipping. This guy is charging $6 for shipping. That seems likea lot for somethign that can be shpped in an envelope sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard.
