Thanks!
I think that Kevin said you'd have to buy GT500 Headlights, which is fine. I'll just sell my Saleen HIDs and finance the whole venture.

The Saleens will not Fit on the Shelby. I am Checking to See if they are planning to produce any. As Far as Emblems it is your choice. You do not have to use the Cobra!

Depending on the outcome of Kevin's call to Saleen I might see about moving the innards of the Saleen HID lights into the GT500 assembly. I know a few guys back from my Honda days that were awesome retrofitting projectors into stock assemblies.

Any idea on pricing???????????? I talked to my Ford dealer's parts dept. today and they said the entire 07 Shelby 500 gt front end, including hood was going to be $1802.70. I just started a thread on this topic w/ a few more details, but don't know how to attach it on this post.

It's a lot cheaper than buying the real thing. It will upset the real GT-500 owners, plus it won't be an over weight "pig".

Sounds like a bargain to me.

If you change the front end you have to have the new hood, headlights, upper and lower grill, several additional brackets and braces, and new parking light/turn indicators. $1800 does sounds like a lot and that is before taxes, paint, and installation. I figured the Ford parts would be higher. I don't see how aftermarket parts will be that much cheaper.

You dont need to purchase the hood, however everything else is necessary from what I have heard.

So my 06 stock hood or an aftermarket hood would work with the 07 shelby front bumper/grill??? No offense Lokius, I believe you, but can anyone else confirm this?

^ Look at Gushi car. Stock hood, GT500 front.

It fits, but the hood doesn't line up exactly with the headlights.

No worries, the hood that is on the GT at the start of this thread, is actually the GT-H hood which was designed for a regular GT, so anything should fit. I am personally going to wait to order an aftermarket hood designed for the GT500, that way I have the curve in it.

I kind of like the Stock GT hood better than the GT500 hood

I have to disagree about the emblem... that is, IF this photo from Ford is correct. Looks to me like the emblem is imbedded into the grille just like our ponies. If you pull the emblem off there's still an area built into the grille that's in the shape of a Cobra.

That's good to hear. Wish Ford wouldn't have imbedded our ponies.
That must be an old pic.

This picture is exactly why I asked the question. I hope someone with the production bumper in front of them can clarify.

I believe that is a photo of the shelby prototype, not the actual production GT500.

Did some homework, the entire front bumper without the hood should be around $819 or so, the hood costs around $500 and those ugly plastic vents cost $234 EACH!!!! Haha definently not getting that hood
