Talking First pics posted

I have been waiting to post pictures until I got some parts put on...well, this weekend I finally put on my CDC ducktail and my C/S side scoops to go along with the painted mirrors I put on a couple of weeks ago. Here are some before and after pictures.

I'm sure this is just the first of many posts containing pictures since I'm already thinking about what to do next. You guys are right, it becomes an addiction.

I do have a question for future posts. I am able to upload pictures, but how do I put them in the body of the post like people do when they are doing write ups?

Hey Boss, CLEAN looking car friend!!! Love the ducktail (got one on my car as well). Should have been the spoiler from the factory!

And about the mods being addictive? We weren't lying, lol! I'm already over 35 different things done to the car (can't add any more to my sig, reached the limit), and I got another half-dozen planned for the winter months. This site is great isn't it! Makes you spend $$$ real easy ! Keep the mods coming buddy!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words.

Mayito, what chin spoiler do you have on your Mustang?

05Ford, I agree that the car should have come with the ducktail. It just finishes off the lines of the rest of the car so well. I love this site, eventhough it is going to put a hurting on my check book.

Thanks again.

I like that you are adding things that you feel should have been stock.

I think your ride looks sharp....the spoiler looks real sharp. It would have been unique if my mustang came from Flat Rock like this in 2005. Looks great keep it up.

Hi BossDawg, great looking car.

With regards your query on adding pics to the text, do you mean like this?

If so, you need to upload your pics to a hosting site such as photobucket. Once you've done that, you simply copy the URL of the photo you want and add [img][/img] around it. Like below, but take out the spaces.

BossDawg try this for the picture:

Create/Open a Photobucket account either the free one or paid. I went paid to bypass advertising.

http://photobucket.com/?link=topmenu

Then upload your pictures. Once that's done copy the direct link from your uploaded picture, see below.

Paste that direct link into the seletion below when you post on TMS:

That should get it done!

The picture should look like this:

Bossdawg, nice lookin stang. QUESTION: Did you install the C/S side scoops yourself?? Where did you order them from and who painted them?? I'm interested in putting the C/S side scoops on my stang too. Any details would be nice. Thanks!

Thanks for the input on the pictures. Those are two very slick looking Mustangs. Nice job!

Mackitraz, I went back and forth about the CDC and the Street Scene ducktail too. You can't go wrong with either really. The main difference I've seen in them is that the Street Scene doesn't cover the 3rd breaklight and it flips up higher than the CDC ducktail does. I have a couple other pictures of just the spoiler that are taken closer up if you'd be interested in seeing them to help in the decision making process.

J2Snoop, I went back and forth between the C/S scoops and the Cervini scoops. I actually ordered the Cervini ones, but realized they were going to need a lot more prep work than the C/S scoops and the Cervini ones only taped on and I wanted something that was a little more secure. Plus, the more I saw the C/S scoops the more I liked them.

As far as installation, my father-in-law and I installed them both in about an hour. I ordered them from Ford and had a family friend paint them. You could probably get any paint place to paint them for you. Ford sends a tempate that you tape to the body to mark where the two bolts go. You drill those holes, put in two clips, and then the bolts go into those clips. The scoops have 3M tape around the edges to help hold them in place. I'm very happy with them because I think they really accent the body lines of the car.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
