Ahem, John, I think exhaust is considered a performance mod.
My first EXTERIOR mod was my louvers... um, thats my only exterior mod excluding tint to date, however, the list is growing on what I want to do! LOL

Nah for me it had nothing to do with performance. It was for the looks. I wanted the tips to fill in the huge gaps in the bumper cover.
So if you don't count it then my next mod was my stripes. Happy now Jessica :P

1. Cut down that HUGE antenna.
2. Sequential turn signals
3. FR500 wheels
4. Pony center caps
5. Steeda rear springs (done for visual effect so I'd consider it an exterior mod)
6. V6 rocker panel mouldings will go on today.

First mods? Shelby stripes, Gt rocker stripes, pony spinners, Eibach springs, American Thunder axle back exhaust, door pins, billet *****, shorty antenna, and sequential tail lights, all done the 3 days. I guess got a little out of control with the mods while I was waiting for the car to be built. But I'm feeling much better now.

I had the CDC Spoiler on 15 minutes after I got the car home from the dealer. The rest of the mods in my signature were done within the next 3 days. I had been collecting parts for over 3 months.

Well, I'm kind of on a tight budget. So I've had to pinch pennies with my modding.
First one was wider tires. The day I picked up the car I drove it directly to the local tire store and bought a set of 235/55 Kuhmos for $69.95 apiece. The tire place gave me a tradein discount of $50 bucks each for the stock tires, so it ended up costing me twenty bucks each for the new tires, plus install.
Next a set of 4.0 badges from Autobadges.com. Ten bucks each.
Then the infamous Mr. Wick V6 Foglight mod. Total cost, twenty bucks.
Finally, the dual exhaust look. GT mufflers, free from a local V8 owner who upgraded to Steeda exhaust. I thought about trying to cut a notch in the rear bumper, as some have done, but chickened out.
So, I finally had to spend a few bucks. The GT rear bumper cost $169, paint and install another $190. Ouch. A local muffler shop installed the mufflers for sixty bucks. The left one's not hooked up yet, I still have to save my pennies for the GT intermediate pipe. But it LOOKS cool.
