looks great! I noticed you didnt connect that top tube, I have a shaker also and havent connected it to the stock airbox, what is the benifit of connecting it? can I leave it unconnected? is the shaker even functional?

Thanks

Yeah was wondering about the shaker exhaust just sitting out there like that, love the install though the whole thing looks great. I really love the look, might have to do a shaker one day if I don't go for a different hood.

Since I have a Vortech on my car the standard CDC air box plumbing does not fit. I am having custom tubing made.

As for the way it sits right now, it's not hurting anything. Matter of fact when I have it all plumbed it will not make any difference.

Still waiting..... . Seems like this has become a popular mod all of a sudden.

I sent CDC some pics of mine and they liked it so much they asked if they could use it on their website. I'll make sure post a link once they're up.

Not the best pix, but anyway here's mine. I've got some finishing work to do yet, but it's close. Oh and you guys may want to check your rear ball mount, mine was broken when I removed the shaker for modification.

Next up- powder-coated cam covers.

Looks good Tom.
I notice you kept your sill plates intact also.
Now thats it's getting warmer,I'm sure the motor will be happier also!

Yep, I kept the sill plates, atleast for now. Not sure if I like it better with them or without... only problem is, once I take them off I won't be able to put them back on if I'm not happy .

Looks good Tom. Glad to see you kept your sills. I was begining to wonder if people really liked that look or not. The chrome trim is a nice touch that goes well with your blower. Since you have the S/C are you planning on doing the ducting? I believe CDC has something prefabbed for people with Paxton/Vortech style S/C. As for me I'm keeping it ductless.

Here's a pic of the CDC setup.

Thanks Leo- you gave me some inspiration to do this mod too.

Regarding the shaker ducting, I have emailed CDC two times about the piece to connect to the blower and they have not responded. Kinda makes me mad because I requested "read receipts" for the emails, so I know that someone there read both of them but just never responded. I guess I'll try calling them when I get a chance.

Oh one mroe thing Leo... I plan to have my cam covers powder coated. Should I go with a chrome-like finish or a blue finish?? What do you think?? The chrome would match the blower and stuff, and maybe get a radiator cover to tie it all in. But, the blue would fit in with the car's color, as well as the injectors and Vortech hose clamps.

I'm in the process of trying to decide the exact same thing. I'm probably going to go silver because black would blend into much and chrome is to much $$$.

In your case though I'd say go chrome. If you had a plenum cover instead of a Shaker I'd say go VB. Another suggestion would be VB covers with a white Ford Racing decal. That way it ties in with the rest of the car. Or VB covers with stripe simiar to your rocker stripe going across.

BTW- Any plans for some Midwest Auto Gear shock tower covers and radiator extensions??
