They are here! Wow, that only took two days to get them, that was fast! Putting them on tomorrow, along with new brake lines, rotors, brake pads, and painting the calipers Red with ceramic caliper paint. Should keep me busy most of the day.

THEY SENT ME THE WRONG SIZE REAR WHEELS! I recieived two of the 22mm rear wheels instead of the 42mm size. I got the tires mounted up, came back to do a test fit, and the rear tires are sticking out past the fender.

I have to take them back to the shop, have the tires removed, and send them back to CT-R and wait for my CORRECT size wheels to get here.

I'm really frustrated right now!!!

Sure they do, they make them in 42mm, though they are not on their webside, they do have them on ebay. There was a choice between 22 and 42 mm offset on the side of the box, the shipper just grabbed a couple of 22's instead.

Anyway, just got off the phone with John at CT-R, and they are shipping out my two wheels first thing Monday morning with shipping labels for the return wheels. So I just take the new ones, and hand off the old ones to the UPS driver. I'm very pleased with his professionalism and timely resolution of the matter.

Now I just have to wait...

Glad to know they have the correct offset.

I cannot find their wheels on ebay, though.

They will starting selling the gunmetal ones in the Feb with the correct offset. They would probably look great on a Mineral Grey, but like the Chrome ones too.

Yeah, I wanted to go with the old school look. I don't like the low profile tires stretched on a wheel / the rubber band look. I was at the MCA show, even got the car on the track for a couple of photo laps. But I got there Sunday after just about everybody had left.

Just give them a call, he can do better than the ebay price anyway.

I wish! Long version:

I had a leaking rear caliper and had to order one. Looked like it had been seaping for quite a while. Kind of a dilema since I had already put the stainless lines on and I figured the dealer would claim that caused the leak, though it had been leaking before I put them on. Plus I would have to tow the car to the dealership or risk the caliper blowing out all the break fluid on the trip over. It wasn't leaking to bad before, but compressing the piston to try and get the new pads in aggravated the situation. Maybe I could have took just the caliper up to the dealership to see if they would give me a new on, but I imagine without the car, that probably wouldn't work. Anyway, I just ordered a new caliper.

Several delays in shipping, and it still isn't here yet after 4 days even though I paid $45 for OVERNIGHT fedex delivery. It's on the truck here in town now, so as soon as I get it, the caliper goes on, brakes bled, and then I'm hitting the road to go home to 'Bama for Christmas.

I'll shoot some pics later on today on the trip up... If I get the caliper and nothing else breaks. HA! If not, it'll be next week when I get back until I get it back together. Poor car has been on jackstands for a week now! Between the wrong wheels, four trips to the tire store (they kept my valve caps once), the wrong brake tool(Nissan one worked, the Ford one didn't), leaking caliper, and a couple trips to the store for parts (now I need more copper crush washers for the new caliper), it's been quite an ordeal.

But, while I was waiting on the caliper, my Roush rear springs came in so since the car was already up, took about 10 minutes to slap them in. So I guess that's good.

Wow Brad take a break- talk about bad luck. Haha wasn't one of your threads labeled "busy day ahead"- better change that "day" to "month". I'm sure it will be well worth it though, the combo of mods is gonna look very good!

Have a safe and happy holiday!

Crappy pics on a wet cloudy day on a car that's been driven through the rain for 500 miles, but here they are. I love these tires and wheels, traction is much better than before, lower profile and wider tires on the front are much more responsive, the car tracks perfectly, and road noise is even less than stock with absolutely zero vibration.

New brakes work great, too. I'd say they are 20-30% better than stock with about 10% firmer brake peddal feel. Then again, I had a caliper leaking before so maybe it's from the new caliper, LOL!

Better pics later, but these will give you an idea of what it looks like now:

Rims look great, though the profile of the tires makes it look kinda truck-ish.
